Indeed, after the whole Air Dolomiti trip via Basle from Munich, I'm only dealing in direct flights with reputable carriers (i.e. those with proper engines)

Cheapest route we've found so far is via Schiphol. Tossing a coin between that and flying into Manc/cheapo to Malaga/train to Madrid. 80-90% certain to be there now
