Truth is I surf and do pretty basic stuff with it so I could have paid half the price

 

Given the chance again I'd pay no more than ?400, and for shuffling files about from device to device I reckon you should do the same

I treated myself to an iPod touch and well pleased. Apart from the music etc, Internet connectivity thru wireless network a very useful feature - there you go

spose it also depends on what you use to listen to music on the pc as well

 

itunes is by far and away the best player i've come across and the integration between that and ipod make it very easy to use

 

the touch / apple in general have the best UI have ever seen on any portable device and Zen etc seem to try and replicate this but to a lesser standard

 

if there's a device that has browsing capabilities like the touch then there maybe another player worth considering, till then..

My Zen works fine with WMP so I'm not fussed either way, the creative software is a bit pants but i don't use it.

 

I may treat myself to a bigger player as i'm only on a 4mb player as it was cheap in dixons when i went in to buy something else.

30mb classic has been fine for two years, Touch looks nice but I'm always nervous about new things from Apple. Got the iPod mini when it first came out in America and it was shite, got better and better models very quickly. Classic looks good, and my phone is better than a Touch for yer interweb stuff.
