Question

why do some people attend football matches?????

was in the ground yesterday and after 5 minutes or so, some young lads were really enjoying themselves, having a singsong standing up etc and getting an atmosphere going, then low and behold and bunch of kill joys behind them started having a go a them telling them to sit down and shut up, fair play to these kids they just told them to f?ck off and carried on

take note, we dont want fans like you supporting Bolton, especially at away games where any type of vocal support means a lot to the team, so f?ck off and take up fishing or summert

Don't worry, they'll all be dead soon anyway.

mate, one or two must of been our age telling them to be quiet, it really was embarrassing, I was hoping it would of turned nasty

Or if we go down they'll probably go watching some other team or sport of something.

Someone told me to sit down at City too a while back (I just ignored him, I think). I think it's just something they feel they need to do when they get to a certain age/stiffiness. I mean, I'm a dwarf FFS!

What late forties? ;)

If someone wants to sit down at the match, thats up to them, they have paid to get in so if some dick is jumping up and down in front of them they have a right to tell them to sit the fcuk down. I saw 2 old blokes of about 80 at Blackburn who I doubt could of stood up for 10 mins nevermind 90, get so much abuse off some lad who refused to sit down, have some respect.

what, the ginger lad that slapped the older fella sat behind him??

yeah, fair play

When selling away tickets, Bolton should allocate them on an age basis.

The older and more infirm you are, the nearer to the front you are.

That way the yoof can stand all game at the back.

Us older ones would be in the middle with a choice of sitting or standing and the owd gits would be at the front.

And we could stay dry when it starts pissing down.

Certain sections should be unreserved seating that way people can choose where they want to sit, someone on this site said unreserved seating was not allowed, but Preston have brought in an unreserved section, so the health and safety quoted by BWFC is just bullshit.

was that when about 10 old bill decided to get involved and I think somebody was ejected? Out of order if that was the case as those lads made for a good atmosphere

Pretty sure that it's a Premier League ruling, which is why it doesn't apply to Preston.

Got to bear in mind though that, if you have unreserved seating, then 10% of the capacity must be left empty, so there would have only been 900 tickets available for yesterday and 100 disappointed people. Works both ways I suppose.

I was next to the 'Ginger' lad and his two mates. To be honest it was handbags and they ended up chatting to each other and apologising in the second half.

Nothing to see here, move along................

A while ago, the club decided they wanted to enter into what they called "serious dialogue about improving the matchday experience for their customers." ie how could they make the fans complain less?

I was part of a group from here that asked for, amongst other things, unreserved seating. The club refused this on grounds of H&S, which we knew to be BS at the time.

Perhaps Ms Wood, the new comms manager could consider meeting a focus group from here at some point in the near future?

Well they need to start doing somthing to improve the matchdays because the crowds are just gonna carry on going down and down especially if prices stay as expensive as they are now.

utter b?llshit, football is all about passion and commitment and getting behind the lads not sitting there supping out of your flask wanting peace and quiet, if thats the case watch it on tv........jog on

I've not got a problem with respecting our elders but FFS it's a football match not crown green bowling on Moss bank park.

This is the problem with having all seater stadiums, people have bought a seat they expect everyone to sit down, bring back standing areas then all the moaning old tw4ts can fcuk off and sit somewhere else reading their programmes

Next you will be saying that folk aren't allowed to sing because it's too noisy, if folk don't like it they shouldn't be going and should take up fishing

but bolton said it was health and safety, if it is a premier league ruling why not say that.
