that's not cctv or police footage, that's someone in a hotel room on a camera or something, as it says "A film posted on the internet", and there are plenty more where that came from

Expect wanted posters in the press soon. OB's not gonna let ths one lie.

Some pissed up sweatys who may have never been in trouble at football before could be in for some long stretches.

Maybe some off here may know what they'll expect off the OB.

Edit so happy won't tell me off :hi:

Nails.

The behaviour of a minority was appalling last night.

But I'm equally appalled by the efforts being made by Rangers F.C. to disassociate themselves from the troublemakers, claiming they were local yobs and not Rangers fans.

Since GMP don't know who they were yet, how the hell can Rangers claim this?

No and No

Manchester got off lightly i reckon, considering the huge numbers and the way the hosts couldn't even cope with screening the match.

Bearing in mind what Liverpool have done abroad with nothing like the following Rangers took to Manchester, the English aren't in a position to patronise the Scots on behavior.

Manchester was lucky that Rangers were playing a Russian team with poor travelling support. In the last 10 years Galatasaray,Liverpool,Feyenoord and even Celtic have reached the Uefa Cup Final....if any of those were playing Rangers it would have been interesting.

Even I'd turn out for Galatasaray.

What you gonna do when you've killed football?

Kill cars!!! :yahoo:

Anyone know a good brickie called Hadrian?

George, how on earth does being the host city have anything to do with the big screen failling? That big telly probably worked every time they tested it. When it was needed it didn't (or was turned off by GMP)

This has nothing at all to do with the hosts.

Would have helped if the retarded rangers had not attacked the repair crews who came out to sort out the fault on the screen. How dumb do you have to be to throw bottles at a screen repair man because the screen is broken  . Rightly so they just cleared off and refused to do the work.

1.I don't think the big screen failed.I think the police decided the area was overcrowded, they couldn't guarantee safety and pulled the plug on it.The police had blocked off the entrances to Piccadilly Gardens and Oldham St in the previous hour to prevent more people entering the area.Their decision to cancel the big screens for the Champions League Final would support this view.

2.If the screen did fail and couldn't be made to work in over 2 hours then there are no excuses really. There will be plenty of cities around Europe capable of providing screens that work or electricians capable of repairing a broken one.

The problem was that Manchester was too small a city centre for the number of supporters.Screens should have been put up in places like Heaton Park or Old Trafford which would have held more people.

Perhaps the organisers were Manchester City supporters and thought that 100,000 Rangers supporters expected meant 50,000 Rangers supporters....

I thought the Rangers fans were well behaved and the organisation was poor.Basics like enough toilets and litter bins weren't provided.

I don't dispute that, but you've missed my point.

bins weren't provided.

Sorry george but they did put some black bin bag(s) out (tongue in cheek smiley)
