Things You've Seen.....

Featured Replies

Apart from the obvious Wanderers games etc, have you seen things that stay with you - and you wish you hadn't seen?

For me, seeing the events of 9/11 unfold "live" on the telly is something i won't forget in a hurry.

Also the 2 soldiers that were caught on camera being ambushed, beaten, stripped and shot whilst "passing through" that Republican funeral haunted me for a while.

Another one was being called out to a job at a house years ago, where a poor owd fella had been blown to bits in an explosion - not nice :bad:

I refuse to watch any of those Islamic extremist beheading executions, but i can imagine they're pretty grim.Anyone else seen stuff they wish they hadn't?

aye, similiar, there was anews clip a few years back, some bloke and his kid abou 8 were caught in a gun fight between israelis and palestinians over there some where, and he was trying to hide behind some steps with his arms aound his son, cowering from the bullets, and all of a sudden his son just went all limp and slipped fom his arms, hit by a stray bullet, was horrible and stayed with me for ages.

Once saw a lad killed on that road junction near the Ainsworth Arms at Moss Bank Way/Halliwell Rd.

A motorbike hit this poor fella. He'd not done the green cross code but he didnt stand a chance really as the motorbike must have been doing at least 60mph.

Ever seen those comedy dummies be tossed around in TV shows? It was like that but sickeningly real.

Bloody Hell, where do you live, Belsen?

is that near Todmorden?

John. E. Rotten once wrote a song about it.

Always wondered where it was.
