Do you reckon Diouf has had time to suss out the nightlife in that hell hole yet?

His words at the end of last season about Big clubs, Champions League and challenging for trophies have already comeback to haunt him - just wait until the season starts!

I do echo the posts on here about Diouf - the worst we can do is give the tw*t any attention when we play them.

Champions League, yer havin' a laugh :yahoo:

El Hadj Fcukin who? Never heard of him. Must be a dirty spittin half breed. He'll get the same treatment as all the stupid mackems. No more - no less.

You always expected the unexpected with him and he has had some brilliant moments

in a Bolton shirt.

However, why don't these players learn to keep their gobs shut.

Disappointed how it has all ended, but life moves on.

Come on you whites.

fact is we have lost one of best players, not for his goals but for his creativity, skill, ability to play others in, hold the ball up. too talented for a certain individual and was given the cold shoulder.

FFS get a grip man

Made me chuckle that.

Diouf is summed up by the fact he said he would be signed by a Champions League outfit but was only good enough for Sunderland!!!!

After backing himself into a corner the Mackems were the only club to come in for him & he had to go.

No disrespect to Sunderland but those were Dioufs words & the main reason he signed.

Like Reading last season I have a feeling season 2 in the Prem may be a struggle for them as they try to bed in new players.

As for booing him, the silent treatment will suffice

Arh mart, glad to see you've resurfaced!

I'm not!

too talented for a certain individual and was given the cold shoulder.

You'd have him in the trenches then would you? He deserves a cold shoulder (if that's what he got, although I suspect you just made that up). His comments when we were deep in the doo doo were not those of someone I would like in my platoon!

Reading only struggled because they hardly brought anybody in in their 2nd season. They brought in Emerse Fae and Khalifa Cisse and that was it. Sunderland have already brought in 5 players and are still after Malbranque and Kaboul at the very least. Rumours also still link them with Saha. They won't get relegated next season as their squad is much much better. Ours on the other hand is still quite short.

of the players sunderland have bought in, who would you want here ?

Came in for 4 million'ish, left for 2.5 million. Some quality moments and a pleasure to seem him at the reebok.

I don' have any problems with the lad, will be cheering on the whites though instead of focusing on diouf when sunderland come to town.

Lets snap up this sporting lad and we reet'

wouldn't mind Steed, although he's not a sunlun player yet

I have always been a fan of Diouf, and would not have had a problem had as he stated he joined a champions league club and we got ?4-5 million from the deal.

It really p*sses me off that now he joins sunderland "who were his only option" for a cut price ?2.5 million, rather than stay with the whites and fight for his place, I hope they get relegated then lets see how Roy Keane copes with his tantrums.

For some reason it was good to have a player that everyone else hates, I'll miss him.

And, his song "sha la la la la la la la Diouf Diouf" was a classic. easily the best song we had for a player.

To be fair he hardly played last year with ANC and being 'injured' etc. so I think he wont be sorely missed!!!!

I really liked Diouf and enjoyed watching him - but i think wanting him to break a leg is a bit harsh......we know what he is like and like Ricketts now is going to a 'bigger club' with European ambition

And how often did he change a game (esp in the last two seasons)?

At least we now have a player who wants to play for us...

I agree - if he didn't want to play for us it is good riddance, but it does still leave us short of anyone with a bit of magic.

If Diouf had done it regularly, he wouldn't be off to Sunderland, he'd have gone to one challenging for titles, but there have been games where without his individual influence the result would have been completely different - we don't have other players like that...

The one that sticks in my mind over the time he was with us was Newcastle away a couple of years ago - he made such a difference.

if anyone boo's him there just plan thick. how many games did you see him perform better when the crowd got on his back? not so many did last year resulting in him having a shite season infact sunderland was his only decent game.

i dont think we've got anyone who can turn a player inside out like he could or even beat a man.

always liked the guy and what he did at blackburn a few years ago (the dive) was ragging brillant

Hmm, don't boo him because it'll make him play better?

Every team in the league booed him last season: hardly inspired him, did it?

will booing actually bother him? spit in someones face is the norm for the bloke so a boo will have him trembling, clap him before the game, when the ref blows the whistle he's just another ex player playing against us.

When we were in the top ten he produced the goods. He struggled last season cos i think he found it diificult to fit in to a team that needed to fight for their lives.

Ive got him on my desktop scoring with a header against Charlton (away) in April 2005 - He changed that game also when he came on.

Im disappointed he has gone but i think im more concerned about who will replace him if anyone.

Ironic that he scored he last goal for us against Sunderland.

I think his best performance was Brum away, midweek, when we won with that Nolan goal - he ran the show up fron on his own
