I can understand players getting them years ago when they were not payed all that much or had to quit early through injury but to get one these days is taking the piss!!

JUSSI Jaaskelainen has revealed he will thrash out the terms of his testimonial in a few weeks time.

 

The 33-year-old goalkeeper was offered the match as part of the four-year deal he signed at the start of the month.

 

No opposition or date has yet been discussed, but the Finn plans to examine the matter with chairman Phil Gartside once the club?s Premier League campaign begins.

 

?I?m not sure exactly when it will happen,? Jaaskelainen said. ?But when the season starts I?ll sit down with the club and work something out.?

Testimonials in this day and age are a waste of time.

Why should the average man in the street fork out when the player is on so much

per week anyway ?

Complete greed in my eyes and unless he donates it all to charity it will be a

non attendance from me.

Judging by some of the performances of some of the players last season i think they should play the Bolton Masters who would show them all about the pride of putting on a White shirt and would no doubt run out winners if TO TOM TOMO TOMO's left foot has owt to do wee it!

Regardless of his contract wranglings over the years he has given ten years of service, in this day in age tis a remarkable achievement, he should double up with Ricky and have a joint one, I dont think its a bad idea maybe we will get chance to see adios to Campo and see ya (as I dont know greek) to Stelios. Fully agree a charitble donation would make more people attend.

Holden was a decenty player until Sam threw him on and his enthusiasm got the better of his leg. Doesn't deserve to be in this company IMO.
