mickbrown Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 That they are but so were we for first Prem game, was it Wimbledon away? 2-3 lost? Thought it was Southampton away - won 1 - 0 McGinlay.
Worsley White #1 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Thought it was Southampton away - won 1 - 0 McGinlay. No that was 1998, Wimbledon was 95 if my memory serves me correctly. And wasn't it Blake that scored at southampton in 98?
trotter58 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Thought it was Southampton away - won 1 - 0 McGinlay. I thought Nathan Blake scored but our first game in the Prem was Wimbledon away under McFarland.
Big_Girl_Oral_Explosion Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I thought Nathan Blake scored but our first game in the Prem was Wimbledon away under McFarland. He did after f?cking up several good openings and missing sitters, he missed several further opportunities. It was probably the hottest day i've ever experienced watching Bolton, sat under low corregated metal roof in a small section of away seats.
superjohnmcginlay Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Thommo (penalty) and Fab Defraites scored away at Wimbledon
HomerJay Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Take it you didn't take GCSE english? And I take it, neither did you?
dci_bwfc Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Take it you didn't take GCSE English? And I take it, neither did you? Don't have a clue what you're on about? :p
Zico Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Thommo (penalty) and Fab Defraites scored away at Wimbledon and deano got the winner for them remember our penalty, think it was patterson brought down in the box, ref gave freekick outside the box our players then pointed out the tackle "skid" marks were inside, so he gave penalty instead also remember for some reason there was no segregation in the stand down the side and was sat next to wimbledon fans!!

Well, I'd be exactly the same if I were a Stokie so fair play to 'em for getting excited - I think some folk have short memories... Still hope we dick 'em on Saturday though

Boby Brno Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Southampton away was blake, in our purple tops. Bloody hot that day to. Correct, both days were the hottest days I'd experienced at a football match. It always used to be hot and sunny on the first day of the footbal season untill global warming came along

Also remember that day meeting the bloke who worked on the other shift, same job, from me, and him kindly letting me know that I was to be made redundant on the monday morning. Made my weekend he did, the fukking front-bottom.

Didledee Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 He did after f?cking up several good openings and missing sitters, he missed several further opportunities. It was probably the hottest day i've ever experienced watching Bolton, sat under low corregated metal roof in a small section of away seats. I was only about 8 but i remember that day so well , think our next game after that we came back from 2-0 down to coventry and drew 2-2 , might be wrong ,
Gumbo Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Do you know there is no such place as Port Vale Tunstall is the town its in, Some would argue its in Burslem! Either way there horrible scratty pottery villages! My uni bird was from up there! Lovely little dirt bag she was!
