I met some black guy selling fake handbags on a bridge in Venice who was wearing a Bolton shirt, I shook his hand and said "good lad" he looked thoroughly shocked.

Boarded a bus in Cairns, Australia with my Bolton top on. Soon as i got on these blokes started singing Bolton songs, they had emigrated over there about 30 year ago!

Was recognized in Cairns, Austalia by a guy sat in a pub who started singing "Wanderers" as i walked past. Ended up talking to him for a bit and the lad was from Horwich and had moved over a few months before.

Was coming out of a supermarket in Sa Pobla Majorca a few years back and saw a lad in the maroon away shirt. Said "hello" but he was French and spoke no English. Asked him if he followed the Wanderers and he looked at me blankly. Obviously his French was crap too.

Met a couple in Goa earlier this year, they were both from Bolton, but have retired out there. He was a Bolton fan, he made me watch us get thumped by Liverpool as well.........which was a bit grim. But then we got leathered on beer at about 60p a bottle, so it wasn't all bad

i watched same match in goa in a sports bar, maybe same bar as you?

about half a dozen bolton shirts in there, i wasn't wearing one though.
