Carlos Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 The club should go ballistic to try and ensure he doesn't ref us ever again, he always does us. I hope he dies slowly in a housefire.
Tipster Ste Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 What are the consequences for a refs decision like that? He will probably arrive at Upton Park next week!!

Guest TonyCee Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Well beaten overall in the 90 minutes. Yes, a poor pen decision but we would have lost irrespective of that. 4th from bottom. In the last 6 games, 1 point and an embarrasing Cup defeat. Massive problems ahead. Lose next week and Megson must go.

I see what you're saying but, it was 0-0 till then. I don't think it matters if they are/were the better team. Its decisions like that, that can and do change a game. We might well have lost BUT a fair playing field is all we wanted, and we didn't get it.

If 1 thing has come of the last 180 minutes of football, it that Megson has bought some (deserved) time.
Horwich Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 can everyone post their Styles related posts on here. Just so we dont end up with a board full of them. All others will be deleted.

Untill Styles gave the the decision, we were doing as well as any team has done at OT for years. We had the best clear cut chance of the match and I never felt that we would lose. I wont accept that they deserved the result and with a full compliment of players we will climb up the table.

I agree. That c*nt Styles has ruined my weekend!!!

Agreed, i'm sure people will say that we were under the cosh anyway, but thats twice in two weeks we've had decisions go against us. Maybe United and Arsenal would've then gone on to win the game, but i don't think it's unreasonable for us to ask for a fair crack. We've played well in both games, and now the real test is how we do in the next 6 or so games. The full team is back, and we're not playing any of the top 4, so this now is the period when we should judge Megson. Edited September 27, 2008 by Tombwfc

Its not Megson that has done anything. These type of games are self motivating for the players. Sebsequently you always get 100% effort. Its games like Fulham away that you learn more about the the way the club is run and how the players are motivated. As i said its another defeat and how many would have thought that after Stoke we would get only 1 more point in the next 5 games? And still people blame the fact that Cahill, Elmander and Taylor were out. Laughable.

I hope the media run with this. Styles probably hoping it will easily get swept under the carpet as its only little ol' Bolton
no balls Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 And still people blame the fact that Cahill, Elmander and Taylor were out. Surely that's a factor to be put in the equation? Are you saying it's irrelevant?

Take 3 of any teams best players away and they will struggle. Megsons doing ok, not fantasic but ok, he deserves a chance.
Arnold Jackson Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 (edited) My hopes yesterday that the referee wouldn't be as predictable as Ferguson in 'painting' us as "the enemy who he has to try to protect the obvious winners from" were all in vain. No Balls is spot on when she says all we want is a fair playing field. No matter how rubbish we are! What's the point of trying to compete when the independent man in charge has been brainwashed into thinking the other team deserve decisions like that. The Davies and Elmander bookings were very very poor too! Vidic was very physical against our forwards [ nearly pulled Elmanders shirt off ] and was never once even spoken to or penalised! Farce! Have to say though we cannot string more than 2 passes together once we start to panic and we look a poor side to me ... relegation struggle looks to be the order of the day for us Bolton fans again sadly. Come on you Whites Edited September 27, 2008 by Arnold Jackson
