Guest TonyCee Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Surely that's a factor to be put in the equation? Are you saying it's irrelevant? Yes. Injuries are part of the game.
tyldesley_white Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Yes. Injuries are part of the game. As are cheating ref's it would seem
Boby Brno Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Yes. Injuries are part of the game. So if we had 11 out injured or suspended, would it still be irrelevent? Give some credit to a great performance today.
george Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Well beaten overall in the 90 minutes. Yes, a poor pen decision but we would have lost irrespective of that. 4th from bottom. In the last 6 games, 1 point and an embarrasing Cup defeat. Massive problems ahead. Lose next week and Megson must go. That is the problem, not one hard luck story in Manchester How long do we let him keep losing? I'd give him more than just the West Ham game to start getting points but not many more.
freds dad Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Megsons view of the "penalty????" http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/m...day/7639831.stm
Rembrandt Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Styles has always been a big-club ref and always will be. We had to hope we could get through the game without him having the chance to give ManU anything important - it didn't work out. We have to start collecting points now. Excuses are beginning to overtake the points on the board. It won't do.
newquaywhite Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Im getting an everton goal over the line feeling about the importance of that goal.
newquaywhite Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 to be fair.... ronaldo didnt even dive. u see his shoulders come as if to flail about as per usual...but he doesnt go through with it.....cant blame him this falls fully on the ref.
M G WHITES Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 (edited) I am not fcuking having that,i went today i am fcuking well mad, bastard ragging cheating t wat Edited September 27, 2008 by M G WHITES
SatanGreavsie Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Ronaldo is a cheat. Styles is a cheat. The whole fookin thing is crooked. Brief one game rap on the kuckles for him; if he'd done that for us against them he'd never be seen again in the Prem.

I agree, why should we pay all that money to get in only for it to be ruined by a fcuking c unt. Edited September 28, 2008 by M G WHITES
MOOSE36 Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Some excellent post on the whole topic. Styles is a pussy and cost us today but as said above its not been his fault for the last few weeks and us having 4 points. hopefully he may come home one day to see jeff winter stuck up his wife, he may feel as pist off as we did last night
MickyD Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Sadly MickyD would come and put him out. Death by chinese burn would do me. With a petroleum based fluid.
MickyD Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Isn't this the same Rob Styles that gave Blackburn two penalties a couple of seasons ago?
Andybwfc Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 In reality 2 things should have happened: 1. Ronaldo knowing that he dived and no one appealed for the pen should have passed the ball into Jussi's arms from the pen and held is hands up.... 2. Styles should at least have the decency to admit his mistake at the end of the game and say he fucccked up big style... Neither happened...... ....so Ronaldo is a cheating munich twaaaat and Styles is a cheating Munich loving twaaaat also....
globaldiver Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 And another thing He booked SKD, Elmander after their 1st foul, neither looked worthy of a caution from my view The yellow for McCann, after 2 fouls, seemed a tad harsh Bolton conceded 9 fouls, 3 yellows Munich, 9 fouls, no yellows Cheat.
ZiggyStardust Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Isn't this the same Rob Styles that gave Blackburn two penalties a couple of seasons ago? Mike Dean. At least in the game at Ewood.
THunter Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Mike Dean. At least in the game at Ewood.Styles was the ref in the home game, but both pens were nailed on.
Mounts Kipper Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 makes me wonder if some refs are in the in the pocket of far east gambling syndicates, I know it sounds far fetched, but it has happened in Cricket, there were massive wagers on the accumulator of Man U/Arsenal/Chelsea and Villa, and I can see no other reason the penalty was given, Styles was 5 yards away with a clear view and was the only person who thought it was a pen, something is clearly amiss.

You know soming Mounts, I had the very same discussion with guy I worked with about 3 years ago, at the time I was thinking he was taking out of his arse. But over those 3 years , and seeing some off the shocking desions that have been given (mostly for the big teams) I'm begining to think he could have a point
Casino Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 if it were the case, surely favouring us at OT would make more sense JSL
Sweep Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 He booked SKD, Elmander after their 1st foul, neither looked worthy of a caution from my view Now as an aside, this is something me and my mates were discussing earlier today. People (and usually the players themselves) often say "Ref, it was my first foul" - why do they think they shouldn't get booked? - if it's a foul, it's a foul, why should you get a "free one" ?

Yes they had been well on top but that would probably have been part of our game plan. The whole game changed on that decision because we then had to go looking for a goal, hence our defense opening up for the second
