Everton Game

Featured Replies

Turgid dross. For the first time EVER I found myself flicking the channel away from a BWFC game (to watch snippets of the North London derby - pulsating!) before flicking back. I have never been capable of missing one minute of a BWFC game before if it's been on.

Sorry to say this but people on here who defend this manager and those 'around the country and within the game' who give him great credit are deluded. If Gartside does not act now it will be too late. The whole place reeks of doom and gloom and this man is incapable of creating an upbeat atmosphere about the place.

This result was entirely predictable - even the manner of it with a late goal to those undeserving (and fcuking shiyte) sh1thouses.

If Mr. Megson is as good as some claim, how come he was working for nothing 'just to keep his hand in' before his appointment? Wouldn't clubs be queueing up?

Oh f?ck, if Bolty's thinking negative then we are definitely in deep trouble

Megson is a germ.

Sh*t scared of making a sub whilst it is still 0-0 in case something goes wrong. I would rather see us lose trying to win rather than wasting time at 0-0 holding out for a draw. FFS how much time was Jussi wasting 5 mins from the end.

Anyone could see Taylor had drifted out of the game and with Gardner on the bench then why try it. Everton weren't much good and could have been there for the taking. For f***s sake we had 3 attacking players on the bench with Smolarek, Helguson and Gardner.

I thought Riga did OK in flashes, he has to persevere with him but I fear McCann will be back on Sunday.

If the team tries to win games then the fans will respond.

how the fcuk anyone can blame megson for this particular game is beyond me.

we were the better team tonight,no doubt

I know. Out of character for me and I don't 'go negative' without deep consideration. I did not believe this manager was a good appointment at the time. At no point since then have I thought so either. At the time of his appointment, I used the words 'unimaginative and unambitious appointment'. Disappointed I seem to have turned out to be correct - I would have liked him to prove me wrong.

Because he didn't do anything to try and win the game. He didn't know what to do so he left the team as it was.

What is the point of having 7 players on the bench if they aren't used. What has Gardner done wrong? Oh yes, Megson didn't sign him.

The bloke is a f***ing idiot and getting well paid for being an idiot. Maybe in the next game he should sit in the stands for the first half and watch how his tactics unfold.

We were marginally the least shite team tonight. There's a difference.

And we were at home, and we didn't score yet again, and we didn't use any subs despite hitting a brick wall again. There's no-one else to blame - he's in charge, it's now his squad, 12 months on and we're 3 points & one place better off than when Sammy Lee was removed.

Swop Gardner for Taylor = Even less goals in the team ](*,) ](*,)

We couldn't have had any less than 0 tonight though.

I always wondered what Lofty looked like without the costume :good:

Takes 2 bad side's to make a bad game like that.

Both teams should get 0 points after serving up that load of shite

Cheers Zozzy, best post on here since last night.

My thoughts on last night, I have to say that was fookin awful.

Starter was salmon and prawns and we ordered soup, there were no bread rolls till the starters were finished, we didnt get the main course till just 5 mins before the game and they never served any potatoes with the meal.

Also pudding was fruit salad and cream. Absolutely shocking, and the boss should go now, he is ultimately responsible.

On a side note, the game was fookin terrible, and I won't be going again till the next freebie comes up. This goes to both teams, what a set of overpaid shithouses.

The only reason Taylor is in the side is for his set pieces, it's the only way we USED to look like scoring. They were woeful tonight, he had the chance to change things and try something different, again he failed us.

How much longer can we persist with 'the clueless idiot in charge'.

I can't see us scoring.

His set pieces were awful last night.

Taylor doesnt look fit to me either, looking very slow.

Megson had Gardner warming up for 20 minutes and never used him. Clueless.

set pieces woeful?

one shitty freekick, but a number of good corners

at least once, one of our cb's, cahill this time, managed to get his head out of the way of one 4 yards out

when youre struggling up front, you can't miss stuff like that

"One shitty free kick", there were a good few that I can remember in both halves.

A number of good corners half of which Riga contributed to.

I'm not against Taylor, it just needed changing as we continued to run out of ideas. Taylor or Riga needed to make way.

Cheered me up no end that pic, cheers zozzy

Agreed we were the better of the shite teams especially in the second half.

To be fair the closing down and committment was there just a lack of confidence or cutting edge.

I haven't seen any points relating to Jussi.

Surely if he can see somebody running down the wing who is likely to cross and he can see a bloke with big hair stood on his own on the six yard box he can anticipate that should a ball come across he is likely to get it.

Then why can he not make an attempt to come and get it for fooks sake instead of standing there as per usual?

The guy should take the blame for that cos there was a good chance to stop the ball or putting him off etc.

If the goal had not gone in, it would have ended up nil nil, everybody still thinks complete shite, Megson out etc but at least can see some sort of improvement and have something to build on.

Or am I talking shite?

am I talking shite?

About this bit, yes.

I haven't seen any points relating to Jussi.

This bit seems fair enough, though.

but Everton were so poor it really didn't take much to be "the better team".

unfortunately we failed to create any worthwhile efforts on goal.

Howard had very little to do.

we hit so many aimless, pointless, worthless long balls forward I was surprised Davies and Elmander didn't wave white flags and just substitute themselves.

Megson failed to make any changes to shake up our team.

Even last season against Derby when we were woeful for 91 minutes he had the nous to throw Stelios on - and look what that gained.....

I honestly think that we were dragged down to your level last night. We are never that fooking bad....were as you lot seem like that every week at the moment.

When we did get hole of the ball in the first half and started to pass it, you lot looked like a pub team.

2nd half, you double up on Arteta, and closed us down and started to lump it up every chance......so we started doing the same from the back.

the majority of your play last night was lumping it forward.

we actually dont do that as much these days.

jussi just lumps it sideways instead......

As I said, you dragged us down to your level.

We play it through our midfield, when we can. First half we did that quite a bit.

Every time we went forward, we looked like we could score....if we would have got the goal in the first half, we would have scored a few.
