November 2, 200817 yr A great performance by all... the relief on all the team was there to see when the first went in... although Ricky was lucky it didn't go over the bar Davies won every header.. Nolan, Samual, taylor and Muamba...in fact all had a great game and put 100% in... our defence kepta free scoring city attack line in their pockets.... it was a relief to see the 2nd go in... crowd got behind the team after a half time pint as well... bring on the tigers...

Agree 90% but i'm sorry but nolan was awful and has been for a good few games.
November 2, 200817 yr Agree 90% but i'm sorry but nolan was awful and has been for a good few games. Disagree He didn't quite produce around the box today but he's often a class apart the rest of our side in my opinion, in terms of his touch and vision See the ball for Steinsson to cross for Gardner

November 2, 200817 yr I think everyone deserves credit today, I can't think of one player who I could pick out for a bad game. Jussi saved us a few times with quality saves. Steinsson had a very good game and had Robinho in his pocket (his ball for the goal was top class). Samuel was brilliant on the left. The midfield 3 were solid and as soon as Robinho or Elano or SWP got the ball, there was always 2 of our lads there to take it off them (did Muamba lose a tackle?) Davies was back to his best, Riga looked promising before he had to come off, Taylor was a threat with his deliveries and tracked back well. But for me the 2 centre backs stood out today, City can score freeley and have many attacking threats, but Cahill and maily for me AOB were outstanding and gave their forwards nothing. The amount of times that AOB was just there to cover any slight danger, or get a header in when needed. And the one time that neither of them was in the right place, Samuel came across with a goal saving interception and took it off Robinho's toes.
November 2, 200817 yr Agree 90% but i'm sorry but nolan was awful and has been for a good few games. Am glad someone watched the same game as me then
November 2, 200817 yr Unbelievable some Bolton fans. Nolan had a good game today. Great ball out to the wing to set up the first. Admit it Ringer and Royal White. Nolan had a shit game today before the first ball was kicked? Get off the lads back FFS. As has been said on here many times, we are a far better team with him on the pitch.
November 2, 200817 yr very good today Kevin Nolan, he is playing a new playmaking role and looking very good, his performance on wednesday was the beswt for sometime and he followed it with another good solid performance today.
November 2, 200817 yr Just watched the highlights on MOTD2, and what I saw of Nolan was excellent, IMO.
November 2, 200817 yr Unbelievable some Bolton fans. Nolan had a good game today. Great ball out to the wing to set up the first. Agreed. Thought he was always willing to try and support Davies in attack and looked to be playing in his more favoured position/style. Thought he was a true inspiration and leader to the others. Thought Fabrice had his best game for us today, and looked a good box to box player at last! Bit clusmy at times, but got about the park well Both the above players now need to start (re) doing it across 3-4 game blocks
November 2, 200817 yr Nolan needs the captains armband taken off him so he can concentrate on his own game TSO.......................... expert gaffer
November 3, 200817 yr Agree 90% but i'm sorry but nolan was awful and has been for a good few games. Good lord, Nolan was far and away boltons best player last night. OK gardner had the 2 telling contributions but it was Nolan who stood out for me.
November 3, 200817 yr FROM WHAT I WATCHED IN BL1 NOLAN WAS INVOLVED A LOT MORE THAN HE HAS BEEN FOR AGES. CRAMPO - PART TIMER.
November 3, 200817 yr Nolan may have played better yesterday than recently but he is still too slow in moving forward to support the attack. A few times yesterday he was guilty of ball watching instead of moving into position.
November 3, 200817 yr the sooner people realise nolan is not steven gerrard the better! great performance kev, keep it up.
November 3, 200817 yr Nolan was god awful against Everton but had a very good game yesterday, didn't give the ball away once and got into the 6 yard box for the first time in ages. Ran his bollocks off too, still people need someone to slag off.
November 3, 200817 yr Nolan was god awful against Everton One of the better players against Everton, not saying too much that but by no means would I say "god awful" - unless you are calling the rest of them something worse. Edited November 3, 200817 yr by YATESY
November 3, 200817 yr I got the sense watching the game that the players were playing for Megsons job.
November 3, 200817 yr I got the sense watching the game that the players were playing for Megsons job. ...when? last Wednesday or Sunday?

I always want the players to do well, but for me he is not cutting it. Great pass.......It was a simple 20 yard ball. He is meant to be an attacking midfielder but he doesnt look like scoring, he obviously has talent but it has been missing for a couple of seasons now, he is simplt not fit enough
November 3, 200817 yr Agree 90% but i'm sorry but nolan was awful and has been for a good few games. What a load of bullshit. People make their mind up before watching it when it comes to Nolan. Edited November 3, 200817 yr by tylswhite

Thankfully, the majority understand the reasons why Nolan and those two must play if fit. In each case, we are a better team with them on the pitch. Edited November 3, 200817 yr by bolty58
November 3, 200817 yr One of the better players against Everton, not saying too much that but by no means would I say "god awful" - unless you are calling the rest of them something worse. Nope, he gave the ball away pretty much every time he had it. I'm not calling the rest of them anything, I just have a different opinion to you, one that I think the stats would also backup.
November 3, 200817 yr An everton mate said he thought Nolan ran the show in the second vs them & in my opinion he had a very good game on Sunday, wonderful pass to put Steinson in.

November 3, 200817 yr Fair enough, but have we started a game without Nolan on the pitch???? no, so we will never no and are very unlikely to find out. tail end of last season we looked lost he came back from injury/suspension and we looked a damn site better
