Seconds Jobs

Anyone know if you get taxed to the hilt for having 2 jobs ?

No, just do 20 hours of each.

No, just do 20 hours of each.

What if your full time in one (35 hours) and do a second job different company part time ?

Your tax burden will be assessed on your total earnings IIRC.

So, if you earn ?25k at one place and ?15k elsewhere: you're taxed on ?40k.

Ive heard you dont get taxed as much as your main income, i may be wrong though :pardon:

If memory serves me correctly, you get taxed on your income not how many hours you work.

Correct, I think, you get taxed on whatever you earn, it doesn't matter if it's on one job two jobs or half a dozen jobs, the taxman will just look at your total earnings.

Great idea, though!

would your main employer know that you had a second job from your tax codes?

your main employer cannot tell anything from your tax code, he cfan tell it's changed (if it does) be he won't know why, the tax office will not tell him the details as to why it's changed.

By the way, do you need to declare your earnings as a male escort, with you generally getting cash in hand?

I do it for free - the love of the job.

Micky D's your man for this....Eh Micky...

Can you put up aerials??

The answer is simple

Move to Jersey then commute each day

Tax problem solved

your main job you will be taxed as normal.

Your second job you will be taxed at standard rate on all earnings (no personal allowance)

At the end of tax year, your total earnings will be calculated, and your tax bill adjusted accordingly.

So in short, you will pay the correct tax overall on the year, but the second job will appear to be taxed out of proportion.

Your main employer will tax you as per normal, your second job will tax you on BR ( basic rate )

Your main employer will have no idea you have a second job through your tax deductions.

That is now cleasred up

What second job are you thinking?

You mean that there are some people who actually spend more than 60 days in work?

How bizarre
