January 30, 200917 yr We must be signing him on competion of selling Nolan, thats what I keep telling myself anyway. Otherwise its even more of a fcuk up than selling anelka last year. Cant see him going to city although his agent seems to like that idea, they have at least 6 centre mids. Newcastle have a chariman who doesnt want to/ can't afford to lose even more money plus Nolan is the answer to all their midfield problems.

Makelele and Zidane in the French team were both great players but did very,very different jobs. The era of midfielders that do a bit of everything has probably passed. We need one to open up defences and get their foot on the ball - not one to stop the opposition.
