They actually check before issuing the season ticket. They will want to see passport or other evidence. If you are renewing you will have given your date of birth on previous applications.

Has the VAT discount been worked into the prices?

It goes back up to 17.5% on 01/01/2010 so you get the benefit back then (will be their answer)

Bolx. What a pain in the fuckin arse!

Having slept on this overnight, I do wonder now if Bolton could have done a little more.

Don't get me wrong, the price reduction is very welcome and we will be renewing (actually purchasing a second kids ticket for 09/10) but when you look at some of the ideas that our Lancashire neighbours have announced - there isn't anything radical in our news. Could we have done a 2 or 3 year deal, an unreserved seat season ticket like Blackburn, a reward to be enjoyed next season if you renew again (like Burnley - 7,000 season ticket holders this season will get their renewal for 09/10 for free) etc.

Difference being, Burnley would be throwing street parties at finishing 14th, whereas some of our lot are organising riots. People seem to want us to be a top 10 side, playing champagne football and with various world stars turning out for us, but they also want to cheapest prices in the league.

It's a great gesture by the club.
