Why on earth would I do that?

are you mad?

Unbelievable the amount of people that complain about their customer service.

Ridiculous the amount of people who really couldn't be bothered staying on the line to cancel as it was taking forever, found that Setanta weren't responding to emails/phone calls, Setanta still taking money out of peoples accounts even when they'd unsubscribed months before!

Deserve everything they get, would probably been out of business a lot sooner had they not been fobbing customers off.

are you mad?

No. I just won't pay Sky's prices. Everyone moans about how expensive their Sky bills are (Bordering on ?45 per month???) but they keep paying.

I wont.

I don't agree BNP so I don't vote for them. I don't like what Sky are doing to football and what the sports ministers are allowing them to sport in this country.

Just my opinion. 5Live / SportsExtra for me everytime.

(Oh and my dodgy Albanian sat which shows all the Sky / Setanta games for ?180 last year !!!) ?220 next year.

Wouldn't be surprised if a lot have cut their Sky subscriptions due to the recession.

I think that football has a real funding crisis. Other than City, there's not many transfer deals being done.

The West Ham deal was just to stop it going into admin, there's no new funds. Liverpool. watch this space.

Setanta is bad news, because their money will come straight off the bottom line next season.

Playing devils advocate, is it not a good thing if the the money clubs recieve off sky drys up or reduces dramatically?

After all 85% goes into players and agents pockets.

No it won't ------ there are investor guarantees in place on the current deal which ends at the end of next season

That's only as good as the creditworthiness of the investors who haven't been able to put anything up to save it. In their shoes, wouldn't you do anything, i.e put up something to resell, to avoid the guarantee being enforced?

ermm, for us, id say, on balance, no - we can't meet our repayments

for united, they'd be bollocksed

for a middling team with little to no debt, itd be a godsend

ermm, for us, id say, on balance, no - we can't meet our repayments

But we could if we slashed players wages and they had nowhere else to go cause all the other clubs were in the same boat.

we can't slash wages of contracted players

i believe we have about 50 million in current liabilities

It's probably a sign that we need to cut that debt urgently. The golden era of TV money should have been over this time last year.

I know there are various dodgy ways I just can't be arsed !!! Point is it's NOT sky.

Their biggest threat is the internet. Almost everyone who doesn't have Craptanta watched the games over the web and also then started to watch sky games as well.

No. I just won't pay Sky's prices.

Sky sports 1, 2, & 3 costs me about ?250 a year and I can listen to it in English

Exactly. I work away a lot and being on my own now, multiroom is probably a complete waste but there is no way unless I was on the bones of my arse would I go without sky+. Strangely though I won't pay the fuckers 50 quid for the box and a tenner a month for HD! :pardon:

I've got a magic eye for my bedroom tv. I know it's a poor man's multiroom but there's only me most of the time so it does me smashing! :good:

Peasant!!

Peasant!!

You're right, I should pay an extra tenner a month for multiroom and just put lots of random channels on in rooms I'm not in!

Radio 5 is free, which does for me

So, Scottish football is struggling because Setanta cannot afford 3 million quid.

A day or so later, Real Madrid pay 80 million quid for Ronaldo.

Can you see what I'm getting at?

Football should be burnt down.
