agree we need a back up left back but for 1.5 million I would have told West brom where to go, surely there is some up and coming promising left backs down the leagues.

But ina ll probability we won't be paying ?1.5M unless he proves himself. And if he does, we'll gladly pay it.

So what you're saying is there's no point anyone commenting on this forum regarding the Wanderers because the answer is always " In Megson we trust " ?

Off to Lancy now chaps to see if they can wrap up a much needed win. Chat later.

But there is no point moaning until you've seen the whole picture. And we won't know that until the window closes. It's not 'In Megson we trust' - it's let's wait and see what happens. It's like someone's building a house and then someone comes along and says, when the walls are going up - the builder's crap he hasn't put a roof on!

to be honest cant see whats great about him <_<

It was sarcasm pal :good: I refer to my comment on the transfer update page

I dont want Paul Robinson, i think he's shite.
Commenting on the club's second signing of the summer, the manager said: "He's got a great deal of Premier League experience and is the type of player Wanderers supporters will like.

Debatable :nea:

:D I know what you mean dan

There were Bolton fans that didn't like Anelka when he first came, so what chance does Robinson have with them lot

Debatable :nea:

Well built strong tackling full backs like Tommy Banks, Roy Hartle, and Syd Farrimond were the heroes of my childhood and youth. Teams were scared stiff to take on Bolton physically so I don't mind a bit of a hard tackling = chopper type player.

Have you not heard the "always look on the shite side of life" rule?

we're shite to hear plenty talk

megsons shite to hear plenty more - well, usually the same ones actually

we were 4 wins from fcuking europe ffs

now maybe the whole league 'cept 3 teams is shite, but that aint our fault

Has now signed on a years loan with option to make permanent.

Another player with Prem experiance, bolsters the squad, good addition :good:

I think it's a very mediocre signing , hope it's not a sign of things to come. Cahill deserves some quality to line up with him or he'll be off. Shittu and Robinson will be fodder for the moaners .

Can't complain with a loan signing, however a ?1.5m up front transfer would be a risk. This way if he performs, ?1.5m is a snip, if he doesn't, bye!!!! Plus ?1.5m still in the kitty for this year.

To be honest I was getting stressed about the state of the dressing room, now that's sorted maybe we can sign some players who are good on the pitch.

do you really believe that west brom have just said here take him for nothing and pay his wages, after turning down two bids of around 750,000 and 1 mill how nieve of you

I honestly think this is a mistake, the mans a thug, and I also think he will be Megsons eyes and ears in the dressing room(OLD PALS ACT)any dissent against MEGSON will be directed back at him by Robinson bad move imo.

It is better than relying on the youth at the club too much another player who will bolster the ranks, not saying he's a world beater but with the market we are competing in I see it in the way that the squad is one player stronger than it was,

You think, you don't know do you as you have no idea whatsoever on what their relationship is or on Megson's relationship with the current squad.

I think that is a harsh assesment, he is a good strong pro and played a lot of league games without much trouble, not for me premiership quality but maybe time will tell if he can bridge the gap for us.

the same is said for Shittu, can't have too many defenders hoping they'll bridge the gap

most of the league games in a lower league

suppose Megson is trying to get in people who like him as he can't feel loved here

so I don't mind a bit of a hard chopper.

ooh matron

FFS - assess the summer's recruits when the door closes.

The squad is so thin that Megson has a massive job this summer of adding both quality (to improve the team) and quantity (to the boost the size and depth of the squad).

Now come September if Robinson ranks as one of the 'quality' additions - then we have a problem! If on the other hand he falls into the 'quantity' column - then hes a good addition to the squad in my eyes.

what a crock of shit

  • 1 month later...

Robinson, given we have this stump "on loan", what are the possiblities of shipping the bastard back to West Brom? I know it won't happen until Megson gets the DCM but that seems on the cards.

JLS must be thinking waht the fcuk has gone on - has he got caught shagging Megson's wife?

To go from an ever present and one of the most improved players of last season, to playing second fiddle to Robinson is starting to look a big joke. All I can think, is that it is not a football related reason.
