i had one of these as a young lad, loved it. even considered buying a similar mint one as a weekend car recently.

1.9 I hope. How fast!!!!!! My dad had one, left the keys in (he did that often the dozy owd sod) somewhere in Farnworth & some locals thought they'd go off for a joy ride - as far as the nearest lampost due to them not being able to hamdle it (& my father twatted him!)

no, it was the 1.6, (which was apparenlty the better car ), couldnt afford insurance on a 1.9 anyway.

I think for 'better' read 'safer'. He wasn't keen on me taking it out for a spin.

My 1st car & 1st new car, those were the days....

After having it for 13 years, 9 of which have spent languishing in my garage, sometime soon I might get round to getting it on the road again.

 

And I was forced to sell this:

Not that I ever wanted to except for the intense paranoia of driving the thing in case summat broke. Oh, that and 9mpg when driven 'enthusiastically' And the wife and kids complaining that they couldn't fit anywhere. Bah. Bloody kids and wimmin!

Great car. If I had to, it'd be an old 911 for me though.

Always loved these, when I was a kid I knew someone who had one. Just immaculate, if I had the money I'd get one these from that place that refits them with new electrics etc a snip at 80K

This isn't the best ad for a porsche 944 that I've ever seen
