Can't understand this really, Jules - he's scored one goal in three for Werder Bremen (and similar-ish strike rate for Nantes). The lad definitely seems to know where the net is. There's an element of chance with any foreign striker in the Prem but "Croatian international" fills me with some comfort, and put up against the likes of Beckford/Nugent there is no contest for me. I am IN.

Great news looks to have real proven quality and due to injury/illness fell away a touch - remind you of anyone - bit older yes but Eidur springs to mind - if he can get anywhere near him he'll be a belter good luck to the lad.

Happy about this news. Have been a bit either-or about the new blood up to press this season but this one has bucked that trend for me. Proven (international) quality, knows where the goal is, competition for places up front...well done Gary (you softly-spoken ginger prince, you...)

Nantes were relegated last season

 

As I said in my last post, his goals for Croatia appear to be against 2nd rate international sides

 

What I'm saying is, he aint shown he can currently play and score at the top level

 

He's a Wanderer now so he gets my backing, but I think it's a very disappointing signing - I was hopeful for more
