now, I might just be looking for faults, but there appears to be something going on with the camera

 

when the first balls comes out, he does some over the top manerism, big gasp and moves his arms to draw your attention to him?

 

whilst that is happening, the camera moves slightly from left to right and the cut off point of the left of the picture covers the end ball, whilst there is a good foot to the right of brown on the right of the picture.

 

and im watching this on a fuck off huge tv, so its not my picture

What he does is very clever, I just find his programmes so dull, as they go on for what seems like forever.

I think it will have something to do with the other camera that was in the 'live' studio which was at the back. It was only used once in the whole 10 minute program.

That's what I was thinking, the camera at the back may have been fimling what was actually/really going on, where as the one at the front was showing you what he wanted you to see

He has got people talking that for sure. Iam not convinced when he "reveals all" people will be any the wiser.

Key is that when he watches the draw he had the cardboard under his arm and his right arm is hidden and free to do anything - clearly he is "doing" summat with it in response to the draw - presumably picking the correct "things" be they replacement balls or sticky numbers. Thats sleight of hand and just like he does with cards. So then how does he put "them" in place - well the writing covers the fact that he's tansferred "them" to his left hand and if you look at the moment he walks behind the balls there is a very rapid movement of the left hand, ostensibly under the carboard but also in fact over and behind the balls. So he's transferred summat at that stage. Presumably the lettering for the balls, somehow.

quite. of course its a trick, everone knew that BUT you want to be amazed by the skill of it, subtlety or sleight of hand that's taken umpteen hours of practise to perfect. Not some video trick whose only kudos rests with the engineer.

My mates were at the show last night (one of them was the girl on her own looking up at the screen when he gave the "fix" explanation) and they are spitting feathers cos apparently at the screening he showed a video of himself on an open-topped bus driving through Oxford St in Xmas 2008. He was there with six other people who were holding up the numbers that were picked out on Wednesday night. They're surprised he didn't use that footage in the broadcast. Although the girl is mostly just pleased to have been on the tellybox.

Sadly, I watched it last night. It was a massive waste on an hour. I think I said earlier in this post that most of his programmes are just too long and boring. Last night proved this point. We are still none the wiser as to how he "predicted" the numbers. It is just a very good trick, and I doubt we'll ever find out how he did it. He would be mad to explain how he did it, he doesn't need to.

 

As for his programme next week, I think I'll give that a miss.
