Lessons learned I feel and yes it's good to hear this from the manager although these decisions to sell for 'money' is made by the board.

20mil though...

i think the board will rip spurs hand off if that offer came in..

wonder how much it cost us to remove that clause?

double, triple wages?

Single or a multipack, be very surprised if the deal was done on a single curly wurly.

I agree it is the board who call tthe shots when big money is wafted under there nose at least Megson thinking is the same as the fans and if we do sell Cahill it is the boards decision and not Megsons.

I have it on good authority it was infact a curly wurly 'DUO' that clinched the deal

Course it's a board decision and I suspect the 'if he goes, I go' Colin Todd-like argument isn't going to work either for Megson.

But Bolton's board aren't mugs either - we've got one of the best centre backs in the country, with demand high for his signature. If he does go, it'll be on our terms. That (presumably) means when the time and price is right, likely to be over the summer if he goes to the World Cup. No chance of him being here after that to be honest, he'll get tapped up over a month by some of the 'big club' boys and have his heart set on somewhere by the time he's back over here.

Gone in January FACT - I know we don't 'need' to sell, but 20m reasons why we 'could' sell will sway the board...i'd personally not sell regardless, unless a massive offer came in... look at Lescott, and Cahill is miles better !

If Cahill has any nouce about him though he'd stay and play regular, he's not gonna be at the World Cup sat on the bench at a big club..

but city dont want cahill (that i know of)?

I rekocn it's more likely that he'll not go anywhere until the summer, if any of the top sides need a centre half in January, they'll probably look to get Sol Campbell in on a free for a 6 month contract, rather than fork out ?15M~?20M it's quite unusual for massive moves to take place in January. I think those that want him, and I would have thought Liverpool would be amongst the favourites as they will need to replace Carragher shortly, will wait until Summer.

I'm not sure why Chelsea are mentioned in The Sun article, as they can't sign anybody at present, and he'll be long gone before their transfer embargo is lifted (pending any appeals of course)

That's because the article is complete and utter made-up shite to fill some space on a quiet gossip day.

In all honesty, A N Other Team came in with a bid of ?15 million....??

The way it is developing 15 million is not going to secure Cahills services and if your thinking AN other being Everton I think Cahill will have far better options than that.

We cant afford him, but if we did....he would walk to us, and you know it.

Poor bait Pabbers, he would look to set his sights higher than Everton, and you know it.

Top 5 team....FACT!

According to todays sun (so it must be true) Munich are eyeing him up as "cover and one day possible replacement" for Ferdinand

certainly is, and to be fair you don't get many of them, especially when they are on the same page. Good Work :good:

Munich filth, Chelsea and 2 unamed italian clubs have had scouts watching Cahill this season that is true so im told. Obviously that doesnt mean they will bid for him but the writing is on the wall imo, if at the end of the season he goes to the world cup (I think he will) theres no way I can see him still playing for us.

When he does leave, I hope it's to a foreign club, I'd rather he didn't sign for Man Utd, Chelsea or one of the other "big" clubs to be honest. The good thing about a few clubs showing interest is that it might push his price up. He is going to leave, that's pretty certain, so hopefully we can get as high a price as possible.

How sad would it be if he signed for Munich? I would prefer a foreign team but as long as its not Munich at least we can clap him and show him how much he was appreciated when he did play for us.

IMO....lets just pretend it means something for a moment.

The Club that need a potential top top draw centre back, English...is Liverpool. Carra is getting worse and worse, and Aggardododo is never fit, and not that good, Skittle is even worse.
