maybe these players will have to wait til after the world cup next year when some of the existing squad will be weened out and some new blood will come in to try and get us to the euro's (i hope not tho!)

I can see why he has included Wes Brown, as he had add cover for the right back position as well, where we are pretty weak. I still think that Cahill will make the squad, as no doubt somebody will cry off injured, especially as the games aren't important.

 

I think that it's ridiculous that Darren Bent has been ommited from the squad, he's in great form at the minute

There's a flip side to the argument that it's good he's not in the squad so he doesn't get injured.

 

He might twig what we all know - if you want to play for England it isn't going to happen if you're at a club like Bolton, no matter how well you're playing.
