World Class....!

now that lad is shite, im better than tony hibbert.

  What a joke,Wes Brown. Capello watched Cahill on saturday hardly put a foot wrong and decided to drop him for a player that doesn't play regulaly in the premiership, would'nt even get in a lot of premiership sides, but of course Old red nose seems to even have an influence in who's picked for England.

Does he fuck, given his way none of his players would ever play international football

Neither Brown nor Ferdinand will be fit enough to play anyway.

Cahill may well get a call to be the backup. He hasn't been dropped from the squad as someone claimed: he was never in an original squad: always a later call-up.

He aint the best.....but the last few games he has been superb. He played Centre back at BATE Borisov and was amazing, as Moyes says, Hibbert and Osman are the brickwork of our squad !

But he was probably saying that about Lescott a few weeks ago. Does this mean your current centreback pairing is shoddy brickwork?

They should sign Kevin Nolan: he's great at pointing.

Every penny counts.

Talksport saying that Cahill aint good enough and needs to move to a top 4 club to develop as a player . UTTER BOLLOX ! Matt upsom aint at a top 4 club for one . I agree there s always room for improvement and he will do that at Bolton playing week in week out against some of the best strkers in the world

Talksport like to be controversial just for the sake of it.

Ignore them: I do.

But he also needs to play against the best in Europe in order to gain a regular place in the England defence. I can't even name Portsmouth, Hull and Birmingham's strikers, I'm 100% sure they aren't world class. Come the World Cup you need a level of experience over and above that Cahill has and that you can ever obtain at Bolton.

Which is why players that on the edge of the Englabd team should play in Friendlys, to help with that experience

Fair enough but it doesn't compare to a dozen games a season in Europe... I hate to agree with what Carlos says but it's true

That s why its perfect time to play him this weekend, giving him the experience that he needs . We already seen Upson and Lescott so lets give others a go . Out of the so called top 4 chelsea , liverpool ,arsenal , scum who do you see him playing for and on a regular basis like he is at Bolton .No good being sat on someones bench for the season .

None of the above, which is exactly why he wasn't in the initial England squad - because he's not good enough. Fortunately he's young enough and the next WC is 4 years off so all that can change. I'm all for him playing in friendlies but the manager's job is to get a team that wins the World Cup in about 9 months and not to appease the Bolton fans who think we should have 3 players in the current England team.

He's played against some of the best players in the world plenty of times at Bolton and will do, barring injuries, as long as he stays here. If however he leaves for a "top" club he would probably become part of a squad rotation system, maybe be kept out of the side by foreign players.

Brown and Ferdinand have only played four Premier league matchs between them so far this season, I don't know how many Champions league games they've featured in but I reckon Cahill has been tested more this season than the pair of 'em.
