no balls Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I'm hopefull that in 30 years religion will cease to be the issue that it is today. 30yrs ago Nick Griffin and his ilk would've been worried about the blacks coming in and taking over the country, they've now got a new scapegoat for their fear and insecurities. In 30 years time no doubt they'll be worried about some other race ruining the country and the PM will still be a Privately educated posh git trying to be one of the people Frank, don't be naive, it's been an issue as much in the past as it is today always has been & probably always has. Even before Christianity & Muslims had a religion to be fair. You've skirted the indirect question though. Would you be comfortable with a Muslim in charge of this country as much or more than a public school oik?

YEs but through globalisation people are coming into contact with people of other religions in their day to day lives and are discovering (in the main) it's not a persons religion that makes them who they are. You've skirted the indirect question though. Would you be comfortable with a Muslim in charge of this country as much or more than a public school oik? Not arsed about someones religion (i try and judge people on more than that), as long as their policies and politics are good for the country and obviously that excludes most of Sharia law. Neither the Labour or Tories meet that criteria at the moment IMO. My dealings with the Asian Councillors have proved a mixed bag. Some of them have been excellent councillors and have strived to get what's best for their constituents some of them just seem to be in it for the prestige (if you can call it that) of being an elected official. It does not have any differential between religion & politics. FTR, I feel exactly the same way about Ruth Kelly & her voodoo group. One's religion should take a back seat when it comes to policies. Should and what happens in reality are two very different things, as we all know. Edited October 24, 2009 by no balls
Smiffs Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 I blame Jesus for all this. His skirts and arcs were shite too.
Smiffs Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 It's all bollocks really, isn't it? If you put one extremist from every walk of life in a room, naked, with an infinate supply of wine, jagermeister, coke, pringles, and top class whores, with comedy DVD's running 24/7, I give it 48 hours before they're in a group hug drunkenly saying 'I luuuuuuuurve you'.
Ani Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Rgarding plots there have been a good few cases that have come to court both here in the U.K. Australia I would suggest that many plots do not come to fruition for one reason or another and one plot that reaches fruition is one too many. Many of the killings in Afghanistan are made by british born Moslems who are conducting Jihad against our soldiers. In my view the majority of Moslems all over the world do not like western society, America,Israel and the U.K. are singled out for demonisation, yet many of these same Moslems live, work and choose to to reap the benefits of our lifestyle and society, is that not hypocrisy? This is a clash of 2 very different cultures, I for one do not want our country going further down the road of Islamification, the likes of unite against fascism are a fascist organisation themselves, they do not want freedom of speech and in my view are Anti everything British. Britain in general is a great model for multiculturism, however the likes of UAF and Moslem extremist will do more damage than the BNP could ever do. The reason for this is that they are turning normally mild and right thinking British people towards extremist right wing parties. This not helped by the controlling parties Labour and the Tories not dealing or speaking out about immigration because they do not want to offend there supporters that may come from various ethnical backgrounds. P.S. Ian, I am not and never have voted BNP. i am sure you are too bright to vote BNP. i daresay a lot of muslims disaprove of lots of things about the 'western way of life' that is a long way from waging a war of terror against the people who live in the west i have like and worked with loads of asian people (mainly muslim but not all) none of them have been involved in any terror plots. the extemeist who do get involved are murdering scum using religion as a badge to justify their actions and engender support. if one country invades another kills hundreds of people in the name of western democracy you can hardly blame the people of that region for having a slight gripe with the invaders. i support our troops who are over there but i wish they were nt there in the first place.
Smiffs Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 He talks a lot of sense does Ani. Anyway, I trust the lefties, bedwetters, and (anti)facists are happy with the environment they've created....... You reap what you sow
Traf Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I just read that myself a few minutes ago and I was appalled at what this fucking right-on PC society has come to. Then, to address the balance, there's some fine photos of Tess Daly on there.

You reap what you sow That's fucking disgraceful and shows how little support the teachers have in the classroom. then again think of the holidays they get, proper chushy job.
Traf Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 All joking apart about teachers holidays etc............. There's not enough money available to make me want to try and teach some of the scumm attending our secondary schools nowadays. You're basically trying to educate kids who need discipline, but you're not allowed to enforce any discipline. That teacher should have kicked the kid's arse and got a pay-rise for it.
Smiffs Posted October 24, 2009 Author Posted October 24, 2009 That teacher should have kicked the kid's arse and got a pay-rise for it. You facist pig. ::
Guest Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 The issues are just not being addresed by our politicians. Many people are scared for their future and their children's future. Some of these fears may be rational, some not, but they are the fears of many people and need to be addressed
