FT 3-1 Chelsea

Taylor and Gardner dropped. Odd selection as Elmander is in!

Perhaps Elmander is now fully fit & Megson sees him as a first choice when fit.

Gardner and/or Taylor may have knocks from midweek: we just don't know!

Basham always scores against Chelsea :yahoo: , i know hes only played once against them but :pardon:

No Klasnic in the squad?

Kinell. I kept thinking 'Just watch these cnuts score just before half time'. B0llocks.

That twat Lampard seems to score against us every bloody time.

Stupid challenge by Samuel IMO. He'd let Drogba get in behind him and stood no chance of making a clean challenge from that angle.

The slightest touch on Drogba will always result in him hitting the deck: Samuel should have just sprinted towards the goal-line and let Jussi deal with Drogba. Worst case scenario is a Chelsea goal, rather than a Chelsea goal and a red card.

Despite the 4-0 scoreline, I thought we attempted to play some good stuff, Elmander looked a bit more like an ?8m striker too.

For someone who would take a JCB to knock over, Drogba doesn't half go down easily.

It was a pen but not a sending off, turned the whole game on its head, that what the top four get given and the rest dont

i thought Elmander played aright today

if it was a foul (couldn't really tell from where i was) it was a sending off in my opinion.

Fair fucks to Fat Frank, when interviewed after he said the sending off as well as pen rule is silly.

Wasn't there today but after last Wednesdays 4-0 drubbing and another today our defence is a real worry.

Zat Knight and Ricketts both look very suspect and Samuel is going through another bad spell like he did when he joined us.

How were they today?

Our fans are no doubt the best in the world.

Villa he we come

According to the BBC sport website live scores we lost 5 nil! <_<

If it was a pen, then it was a sending off, under the rules. Doesn't make the rules right, but there you go.

If anyone one looked suspect today it was Cahill,if it was not for Jussi, his 2 errors we would have already been 2 down before the pen

It was a pen and according to the rules he had to go. What annoys me about the rule is that the player is sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity but they are then given back the goal scoring opportunity by being awarded the penalty. Therfore why does the player have to be sent off also? It results in a double punishment.

Was the last goal offside? The other two goals came from bad defending from Ricketts and Kev Davies for goals 2 and 3 respectively.

I thought we had a go and it would be difficult to play them with 11 men never mind 10 for the whole of the second half. Why did Samuel have to lunge in like that?

I was confused with the starting 11 also. You need your experienced players in games like this so I can only assume that Gardener and Taylor had slight knocks.

The lads worked their bollox off in the second half and you could see they were physically knackered.

Ricketts was suspect at times too and from his reaction he knew it. He shouldn't have let Anelka have that ball when he was nearer to it.

I thought so but you can never 100% tell at the game, can you? That liner was poor all game though.

Looked offside on the tv, Samuel did not lunge in he just touched his ankles when trying to get back ,if robinson got booked for that tackle, then why was the 3rd goal allowed he nealy took knights head off, studs up, head height and all that shit :pardon:

I agree 100%. Ricketts is awesome going forward but is too often let down by his defensive abilities.

you've got to respect Anelka speed, and I think thats what he did just tryed and buy some time for people to get back and help out, didn't work mind

I was gobsmacked at Robinson's booking. It was a good old fashioned hard tackle which they seem to be trying to outlaw.

They only seem to trying outlaw it when you are playing a top 4 team and it against them

Indeed. When he got that booking I just thought, let's pack in now, eh and give them the points. Refs - spineless wankers who've probably never made a tackle in their life!

Watching a game sober is bloody over rated! Grrrr!
