onlyoneawalker Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Ahh you mean the Megson interview very good!
The Norpig Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Yeah l listened for a bit, but I got fooked off by the many pointless facts he kept churning out.
Mounts Kipper Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Think the lad who commentates on Wigan is someone who followed them from the time that Wigan were in the Cheshire league, not sure of his nname but he is a serious statto and anorak of everything Wigan.
Leyther_Matt Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 He's called Paul Rowley, and no he didn't used to play rugby for Leigh. Sounds a bit posh to be a pie eater, if you ask me.

rochdale white Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Did they have the 'not -right' filter on last night by the way!? All the Bolton fans that got on managed to string more than one sentence together and put their points across quite well! Slipped a bit when they let on the Pie Eater, female Munich and a Dale fan though!
george Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I turned Radio 5 on for a few minutes and there was also a well spoken Bolton fan on there. He stated that before the match he had offered a free ticket to several ex season ticket holders but none of them would watch Gary Megson's side for free.

I know I will get stick for this but if we stay up and we continue to play like this I very much doubt I will renew my season ticket. I don't enjoy going to the match anymore. I thought we had turned a corner under megson but we have slipped right back into the good old route one way of playing. The past three home games I have seen so many of our fans arguing amongst themselves. The club is divided and I don't care if Pat Butcher is the next Bolton manager, the club needs to be united on all fronts.
white noise Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Got back from the match with my 8yr old lad and my wife asked him had he had a good day, his response was, no I don't enjoy going anymore, its a waste of my afternoon. I have spent the last 4 years building his interest level and Megson has wiped this out in no time. I even left 5 minutes before the end because he was joining in with Megson out chants and you dont know what you're doing chants. I don't want him to boo his own team and to have a go at its manager but he feels this way and it is so bloody frustrating having to make excuses for another crap performance. Perhaps more worrying though were Megson's comments about destabilising influences in the dressing room, has he finally lost the players?

Unless you've got a child genius, there's no way an 8 year old has any understanding of the game whatsoever above the names of the players. They'd believe anything they're told, christ, there's 8 year olds that still believe in Father Christmas FFS. It's probably more then fact that every fucker is moaning that makes it less enjoyable. If that negativity is being passed onto the next generation then we are fucked.

Burndens Bogs Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 Start telling 8 year olds the truth then if it bothers you so much. It took you 3 days to think of that
