ron Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) Interesting that their chairman said that Owen had said he'd only leave for Bolton or Celtic! So we've got him till Celtic come calling then....still. if they do, it would mean he's been a success I suppose. Edited January 6, 2010 by ron
superjohnmcginlay Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 sounded very very bitter.. and pretty much directed by the questions.sideways step my ar... I didnt think he sounded to bad, he was straight about it was dissapointed but realised that this is football. He was aware of the two clubs Owen would leave for,
mannyroad58 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Interesting that their chairman said that Owen had said he'd only leave for Bolton or Celtic! So we've got him till Celtic come calling then....still. if they do, it would mean he's been a success I suppose. Why would he want to go and manage a Sunday league team? they called once and he told them to "go and get fcuked" I bet the Burnley chairman stinks with him being a ginger
Traf Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Aye, SKY sports bullshitting and bigging it up: "Stay tuned for an angry Burnley chairman coming next" He didn't seem angry. A bit sad & disappointed, but you can expect that.
Traf Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Burnley's main issues are that we're down in a relegation fight with them, but that's due to previous management and will be addressed. And also that we're close to them geographically. There wouldn't be the same uproar, if he'd gone to West Ham, for example.
bwfcol Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 What did he say? Are we still battling over compo?
derek smalls Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Interesting that their chairman said that Owen had said he'd only leave for Bolton or Celtic! So we've got him till Celtic come calling then....still. if they do, it would mean he's been a success I suppose. i thought they already knocked?
Traf Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 What did he say? Are we still battling over compo? Compo wasn't mentioned.
bwfcol Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Compo wasn't mentioned. Last of the Summer Wine jokes in my head now! Thanks, let's hope things can be sorted soon.

I rarely agree with MR58 (usually just for the sake of it) but how's Celtic an upward move? Strachan & Mowbrey are world beaters managers in the best league on the world!
bwfcol Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 share them! Just similarities between the majority of Burnley women (and no doubt some men) and Nora Batty
Gumbo Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Ginger Barry is alright! Not sure of his bald side kick who defo has his own thoughts ahead of the clubs! 4million of his own thoughts
Gonk Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Ginger Barry is alright! Not sure of his bald side kick who defo has his own thoughts ahead of the clubs!4million of his own thoughts I think Kilby came across as OK. Quite philosophical about it, this is football for you, & said relationship with Bolton was strained (I'd be f?ckin livid).

Not seen it as I'm at work, but I'd be fooked off if I was him. Think about it....they were going along swimmingly (relatively speaking and with pre-season expectations in mind of course) until we sacked Megson - was totally out of their control and has potentially cunted their season up royally...
Gumbo Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Agree, the general thought and concern now is who they are going to bring in, Coyle went on the cheep and now someone as cheep (which will happen) may make a right arse end of it!
