Maybe Anelka was irreplaceable but, had Megson been the astute manager he obviously thinks he is, a replacement would have been sought prior to Anelka leaving rather than, as happened, sell Anelka then every club owning a player we want knows how much we can afford. Hardly as a direct result of Lisbon though was it?? The players he left behind were Rreally fucked off Supposedly they went on the piss that week And were subsequently inept at Wigan where we lost to 10 men in one of the most lacklustre and woeful displays I've seen from BWFC Therefore, I'd say he should be comended for keeping us up, but in the same measure I believe the achievement was DESPITE Lisbon, rather than because of it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
