Bolton Wanderers In Words

THE REEBOK STADIUM - HOME

"Where memories are deep-rooted, dreams come true and passion flows through the veins - the Reebok Stadium."

THE FANS

" Love to one's club. Devotion to the welfare of Bolton Wanderers. The virtues and actions and the passion which inspires one to serve one's club."

" To regard ones team with excessive respect, admiration and devotion."

OWEN COYLE

"A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the quality of his actions and the integrity of his intent"

"A leader's job is to look into the future, and to see the organisation not as it is... but as it can become."

"Leadership is practised not as much in words but in attitude and actions."

TEAMWORK, ATTITUDE AND DETERMINATION

"Teamwork means that we share a common ideal, Embrace a common goal. Regardless of our differences, we strive shoulder to shoulder, Confident in one another?s faith, trust, and commitment. In the end, teamwork can be summed up in five short words....

We believe in each other."

"Enter every activity without giving mental recognition to the possibility of defeat. Concentrate on your strengths, instead of your weaknesses... on your powers, instead of your problems."

"Your opponent, in the end, is never really the player on the other side of the net, or the swimmer in the next lane, or the team on the other side of the field, or even the bar you must high jump. Your opponent is yourself, your negative internal voices, your level of determination."

WHEN TIMES ARE HARD

" We cannot change yesterday. We can only make the most of today, and look with hope towards tomorrow."

TRAINING AND HARD WORK = ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS

"Countless, unseen details are often the only difference between mediocre and magnificent"

"Perfect preparation prevents pathetic performance."

"Genius is one percent, ninety-nine percent perspiration."

"The limits of the possible can only be defined by going beyond them into the impossible."

BECOME WINNERS

"Winners are the people who when the odds are stacked against them, and those around them have fallen, will have the courage to look within themselves and make the unbelievable believable, and the impossible possible."

"You measure the size of the accomplishments by the obstacles you had to overcome to reach your goals."

I typed most of it myself but take no credit except the last line.

Just thought they had meanings.

I put them in different category's

The book is called ACCESS ALL AREAS: The official photographic book of Bolton Wanderers.

Not old as in the days of Nat Lofthouse, about 7 or 8 years old.

I think this is the worse post I have ever read on this site.

I would burn that book and pretend this never happened.

We'll being having motivational speakers on the pitch next....grwon men with flags.....cheerleaders......where is that post from some fan ranting about everything he hates about football?

This post should be added to his list.

Get laid, get pissed, put a pound of marching powder up yer hooter then come back.

Fucking hell.

Just wondering why a book 7-8 year old would describe Owen Coyle in such a way.

diddles, you passion and love for the club is very honourable, maybe a little naive, but honorable all the same.

fair play to ya for that. good.gif

as you hopefully know by now, this is not the place for spreading your love.

Smelly gits. I suggest they use "sure maximum strength, 48 hour protection"... ;)
