Darryl Hannah. Same thing. Tall blonde that was present in my early wanking days.

Bottom lion, Uma Thurman. Yes.

Neil Young is chucking his eggs up her now

some US one

1st time ive seen it all way through

Was it uncut and uncensored?, In this day and age I'd doubt it.

For me along with Airplane, The Naked Gun, The Producers etc, one of THE funniest films ever made.

Bullitt. Best ever car chase; coolest actor of all time; ace cars; ace clothes (Johnny Ross in the hotel foyer - smooth as fuck); Jacqueline Bisset in her prime. What's not to like?

Was on TCM.

As for best ever car chase Bullitt is good but in my opinion THE best was the original 1974 version of Gone In 60 Seconds

Watched Dirty Harry on TV last night and was annoyed that it was cut to pieces for political correctness reasons, apparently Scorpio wanted to kill just a Catholic priest according to his note and Fatso didn't mention the fact that Harry was an equal opportunity hater.

Scorpio also only wanted 'every last penny's worth'...

Which made the 'this is on the house' kick look like the act of a sadist.

The thing is the original dialogue displayed that the villain was a complete cunt, and the hero, for all his outer machismo, was in reality a good bloke.

I was surprised the strip bar scenes survived the cut.

Nope. Best car chase is in Ronin.

Scorpio may have been a cunt but what a cunt, people are still talking about Andy Robinson's brilliant performance 50 years after the movie was made.

The next major film he starred in is worth checking out too, Charley Varrick, where he and Walter Matthau rob a bank that holds money belonging to the mob

Good shout, years since I've seen that film though. The Blues Brothers had a decent car chase in it too and at the time I think it was the most expensive and destructive ever filmed.

I vaguely remember that, does Mattheu work as a crop sprayer or sommat?

I remember he donned an old man disguise for one of their blags iirc.

That's the one, rarely gets shown on TV anymore sadly.

I don't remember anything controversial in it...

I'd rather they simply didn't show stuff than butcher them like with Dirty Harry last night.

Enter The Dragon shown afterwards looked pretty much untouched, even including the flashback confrontation between the two cops and Williams

Just seen The Matrix, actually a decent enough watch.

Leave it there

Under no circumstances watch 2 or 3

Fair enough. All about opinions. I also make allowances for the actual cars being used. Bullitt and your suggestion win hands down on that score. Mercs and Audis? Naaah.

Should have posted this in the "Films I have watched recently" thread - not this one.

Really really didn’t need a sequel it ended perfectly

Only good thing about the second one was the 15 minute car chase

I have no fuckin idea what the third one was about
