October 20, 201015 yr I've just indulged in them for the first time and they were bloody marvellous. 4 seasons - 50p for a large pot with vinegar. I'm pretty confident that's one of my 5 a day as well!
October 21, 201015 yr no one from anywhere else in the country had any f'ckin idea what I was on about!! There bonfire nights must have been shit. I've tried to describe them to Mrs CWP, she thinks they sound rank...........to be fair, as a concept, they do sound a bit odd, as a taste though, they are nice

October 22, 201015 yr Outside of Bolton, no fucker seems to have heard of Black Peas. Just checked on Wiki, and it seems they are 'purple podded peas' enjoyed around Bonfire night in Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham. Girl at work from Rochdale had never heard of em though. I love 'em well mushy and with plenty vinegar. My local butty shop is selling them at the moment, doing a roarin trade.
October 22, 201015 yr They are fucking rank! Only problem I have is that the entire family love them and always have - im sure I have been adopted from some normal family...

October 23, 201015 yr Black Pea's, food of the gods. whilst they are nice, they're not quite "food of the gods" or anywhere as near as nice as folk on here are papping on about. They are nice certainly, but you wouldn't want to eat them every week (unless you are Mr Dargan)
October 23, 201015 yr I don't like em , just taste shite to me, but every one i know loves em. they rank along side butter beans to me , fooking terrible.
October 25, 201015 yr they rank along side butter beans to me , fooking terrible. now, they are shit, the very worst type of food
October 25, 201015 yr now, they are shit, the very worst type of food I'll second that. While all are eating the peas, I'll have seconds of 'tater 'ash. Though with lashings of red cabbage.
October 27, 201015 yr Bought 2 bags for a quid off market today, already in soaking! Thinking about getting more tomorrow. Already on sale in the shop though, can't beat folk off with the proverbial for a cup too! Plenty aliker for me!
