November 11, 201015 yr How much did did it cost to pay off the last management team and the likes of Danny Shittu. Is it 3 years of wages in the space of a 12 month period? megson, for one, wasn't paid off shittu wasn't in that accounting period
November 11, 201015 yr those figure above do not have anywhere enough detail to make a sound judgement. even seeing the true p&l probably wouldnt show enough details. basically we'll never know.

November 11, 201015 yr http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bolton_wanderers/9177431.stm Makes sense to me Indeed. No surprise that one ill in informed article spells doom and gloom and the other, well versed article instills optimism.
November 11, 201015 yr anyway, fwiw, its a shit way of running a business unless theres some cunning plan lined up, its doomed to failure just a matter of time
November 12, 201015 yr anyway, fwiw, its a shit way of running a business unless theres some cunning plan lined up, its doomed to failure just a matter of time It may be But what are the alternatives? Maybe, just maybe it's the only way the club can be run at the moment
November 12, 201015 yr It may be But what are the alternatives? Maybe, just maybe it's the only way the club can be run at the moment I wonder what the plan is? Sell to an Indian billionaire or a plan b that I can't think of?
November 12, 201015 yr I wonder what the plan is? Sell to an Indian billionaire or a plan b that I can't think of? plan b. keep taking money from the club into moonshift, until: a. sky start offering 200m per year b. everything implodes and every club goes bump Edited November 12, 201015 yr by HomerJay
November 12, 201015 yr http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/bolton_wanderers/9177431.stm Makes sense to me Feel much better after reading that. Lets shift the deadwood and get the club back on track.
November 12, 201015 yr how old is eddie davies? At 64, he's just a heart attack from the club going under..... As stated before, if we stay in the PL, then we'll be OK. As soon as we dip out, then it's shit times ahead. I don't doubt that we'll go bust at some point, along with many other clubs. We'll just worry about that when it happens. When you look at the figures though, you can see why nobody seems to have ever considered buying the club from Eddie, and probably why nobody ever will, unless thay have got literaly billions and billions of pounds, and don't mind chucking at least ?150M of that away for no return
November 12, 201015 yr It may be But what are the alternatives? When the day comes freeze him like walt disney Thaw him out when science has got its head round human jump leads
November 12, 201015 yr There would be no reason for ED or his family to pull the plug even if he died. Worst case senario they demand money back but the only way we could pay that back is by having a fire sale of players which would increase our chances of going down and decrease Moonshifts chances of getting there money back due to loss of TV revenue. Other than players the only other real assests we have is the Reebok, I doubt very much that we would be able to sell the stadium in the current climate, even as land to redevelop. The worst thing that could happen for Moonshift / ED is us to go down and that IMO is why he has invested heavily again in the last 2 years to try and keep us up. It would be much worse if we where to owe Banks and HMRC tens of millions because those batstards dont give a fuck and will serve winding up orders at the first chance.
November 12, 201015 yr Gartside Appoints wrong manager Gives him 3 year deal Sacks him Pays off big contract Retains job Should he be on his way?
November 12, 201015 yr Gartside Appoints wrong manager Gives him 3 year deal Sacks him Pays off big contract Retains job Should he be on his way? Had we gone down - Yes Now - No
November 12, 201015 yr Gartside Appoints wrong manager Gives him 3 year deal Sacks him Pays off big contract Retains job Should he be on his way? Are we talking Sammy Lee here?
November 12, 201015 yr Gartside was apparently gutted that the Sammy Lee appoinmtment did not work out, don't know what he saw in him that we didn't?
November 12, 201015 yr 4.2m to get rid of that fuckwit Gartside at fault, really? Not read the report, but maybe the 4.2 million was also part of the cost to compensate Burnely for nicking there manager and backroom team, money well spent in my eyes. Also the debt should be viewed less the assets we own, sqaud is valued at 64 million, that is without the assets of the offices and the hotel, throw in 10 million for the pair of them and the nett debt is down to less than ?26 million, I am not to worried as the debt is to the Eddie Davies trust, we pay them 10 million a year to service the debt, not sure he would be wise calling in the debt when he is getting effectively 10 million interest per annum from the club, it is better than cash in the bank.
November 12, 201015 yr i cna't understand how the debt has gone up ?30 million without alarm bells being raised in the boardroom, somebody must be held accountable as to why its rose up so much
November 12, 201015 yr Maybe eddie Davies is accountable? Do you want to argue that he's doing it wrong?
