Tough call between Deano and Aldershot (which is kind of ironic right now).

Thing is, there was always hope we'd come back from the 4th; we'll never, by definition, now play in the first and last finals at the old Wembley. Symmetry and history - all fucked up by one open goal.

Bollocks lad, i'm guessing you're a young lad of 20-ish...I'm only a few years older. I've seen Bolton go from Div 4 to the Prem and Europe. We've had it fucking easy.

not really been easy though has it, we've had good times and bad i was there in the lower divisons and i was there in europe, in the 18 years i've watched the whites its probably taken years off my life but the stories i have from it make it all worth it.

My worst day also, having them cunts piped through the speakers to try and get an atmosphere was a fuckin insult.

 

2nd worse was our home UEFA Cup attendances, especially against Seville.

 

3rd - Singing Bobby Cambell your a wanker before he hit a hat-trick at Burnden.

 

Even through the so called dark years we never seemed to be away from Wembley for one thing or another. It would be intersting to tot up how many.

It makes you wonder that the likes of Aldershot was replacing Wanderers in the Third division, than a few years later that same team was playing Atherton LR in a FA vase match.
