Biggest Disappointment

ive been to many...

but the following 3 had me in a rage and tears.

Losing 4-0 to Scarborough

6-0 down at half time to Notts County.

Aldershot in the play off at Burnden...

Fucking Aldershot, never been so gutted in my entire life. the protest outside burnden said it all that day.

Loads more, but them 3 were a kick in the bollocks.

My worst day also, having them cunts piped through the speakers to try and get an atmosphere was a fuckin insult.

2nd worse was our home UEFA Cup attendances, especially against Seville.

3rd - Singing Bobby Cambell your a wanker before he hit a hat-trick at Burnden.

Even through the so called dark years we never seemed to be away from Wembley for one thing or another. It would be intersting to tot up how many.

was a good un against madrid though

As a young lad being in tears getting so wound up wondering why Barry Knight was being a twat against Ipswich in the play offs...

Getting relegated at Chelsea was another emotional day...

Getting stuffed 3-0 at Tranmere in the semi final, second leg was a shite night..

A recent memory would be watching us get tonked 4-0 at Villa a few year back, looked like a team already relegated, travelling home thinking the season was over...

The Barry Knight game though was probably the worst though :(

Maybe you are correct CWP. 86 does sound about right.

my brain cells are dying off quick these days.

The other night i had a cracking sleep in bed, i even managed to get a bonk in the morning, reading this thread about our disappointments is going to give me a nightmare tonight and a limp cock.

I've just checked in my book, and it was August 25th 1987. The crowd was a whopping 5,847

You do get a bonus point if you can remember who scored our goal that night

Were you stamping your African 'waoo waoo ooo ooo'Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeebab !?

Did Jeff Chandler score for us? I remember singing it to Campbell during an injury stoppage as Jeff Chandler had attempted an overhead kick in front of the paddock and clouted some Wiggin goon in the face square on.

On about limp cocks, i went seeing a girl in Mansfield the day Bolton was away at Charlton and WBA away at Oldham. Loads of baggies coming off a train at Piccadilly, and me going for a nailed onner in the opposite direction Results went wrong and it rendered me like some useless idiot in the bedroom.

My all time idol Jay Jay Okocha leaving.

It was sad Diddles, but we did all see it coming.

On the plus side, I've got one of his signed shirts hanging up at the top of the stairs :good:

I actually though he got back to some good form after he returned from the African Nations with his new afro hairstyle, him and Vaz Te had a good run of games.

I thought Sam should have let us know before the Birmingham game that he was leaving, so he could have been given a well deserved goodbye.

Sam should have let us know before the Birmingham game that he was leaving, so h could have been given a well deserved goodbye.

I don't blame Allardyce, as these things happen.

It would be good though if he did come back at some point to do something, even if it was just to play in a testimonial or something. He was a great player, who we should have been allowed to day goodbye to properly (and the same applies to Youri as well as far as I am concerned)

philliskirks shot being saved at old trafford in the fa cup, if he would of mis-hit like normal it would of been in and 1-1 and 10,000 whites going fookin mental. cant remember who their keeper was that made the save .

holdsworths miss

pattersons pass at home to oldham again in the fa cup .

Play Off Final losses have been the worst but I am with the relentlessly positive Owen Coyle on stuff like this & let's talk about the good stuff.

The most gutted I've ever been was Tranmere play off at Wembley, don't know why

Amen Brother, thats the one, Chris Fucking Malkin, that lanky bastard made me cry at a match, briefly, but he did.

aldershot, Alder fooking Shot, that was a very dark day, you young un's know rock all compared to this.

Carling Cup Final, as I don't think we gave it our all that day.

Holdsworth, probably my only chance of seeing us in a FA Cup Final, what a twat!!!!!

As for league games, Bury Home McGinlay Hat Trick....stone the crows....Bury for fucks sake!!!!!

Relegation at chelsea when they didnt give a fcuk as were in euro cup winners cup final 4 days later

Tranmere @ wembley

Watford @ wembley

Boro @ cardiff

Deanos miss

Oldham in fa cup

All been mentioned but all still haunt me

and yeah DEANOS MISS

The goalkeeper who faced the shot from philiskirk has since died I think.

1-Tranmere at Wembley

2-Dean (piss off with aldershot from the football league)Holdsworth

3-Ipswich away in the play offs - nearly got battered pre game and nearly broke my foot breaking a chair at fulltime. then messed up a degree exam the next day

4- Barry Horne in southampton after getting tear gassed

Lisbon

Carling Cup Final

Sheffield Wednesday away.

Middlesbrough Carling cup final.

Watford Playoff final.

Aston Villa Wembley, Not only Deano but because I had to sit there and watch the penalties knowing any other year there would have been a replay.

Reading away, we lost 4 games that season and I had to go all that way to see one of them.

Watching Gavin Ward trot on at Trashmere knowing deep down we wasn't going to finish the season with 100 points if they had one chance and

Leaving Burnden.

Not been too many in recent years though to be fair...
