don't think so

6 would be a very good return

I don't think there are enough games left to get as many, but i'd expect he will bag a few more before the end of the season.

10 bob says he won't?

Well, he is twice the player !

As a ratio of starts to goals, yes, I'd back him 100%. Over the course of the season I think Elmander has a few more in him yet.

He'll spend the rest of the season showing Elmander where he should have been stood!

He'll score more for us than Carroll and Torres do for Pool and Chelsea.

Well he's currently got the best ratio in our clubs history.

Nil points for that Diddles. Lofthouse scored twice on his debut giving him the ratio of 2:1 rather than Sturridge's 1:2

sturridge has scored twice so you have his ratio wrong

I beg yiour pardon. I meant 2:2. The point still stands that Lofthouse's 2:1 is better.

Lofthouse didnt have a 100% record. Sturridge has.

I think that was the point Diddles was making.

His goalscoring record for an on loan striker is inversley proportional to that of Nigel Gemson.

Diddles never mentioned a 100% scoring record, he mentioned his scoring as a ratio of goals against games. 2 goals in 2 games. Lofthouse scored 2 in his first game making his ratio better than Sturridges.

I think he will score more goals this year, do we need to keep playing Elmo and Davies out of position as an apology?

I meant overall, but was only saying it has a laugh.

What does?

Sturridge can do something that no other current Bolton striker can do and that is shoot hard and accurate from outside the area.

his goal on Saturday were neither

weak and straight at the keeper

still, was happy at the time when it went in

does look a good un though

Gomes could have thrown his cap on Saturday's goal.

All the same, Sturridge has 8 goals from 8 Premier League starts and seven goals from five FA Cup starts, which suggests he's got goals in him.

He's shit in the League Cup, mind.

Will fit in well then.

If he scored more than Elmander this season we will finish top 8.

sturridge has the potential to be better than nathan blake

I remember, each time Blake had a one-on-one with the opposition keeper, willing him to stand on the ball, hold play up and wait for others to appear. Almost every time he didn't and almost every time kicked it wide or straight at the keeper.

i shudder when i think back to his miss at blackburn away....

only to betterd by his miss at crewe that would of made it 5-4!...and smashed the guttering at the top of the stand!

Did Mixu start off with two goals away to Grimsby on his Bolton debut ? Remember talking to some Aberdeen lads in a pub before the friendly with Dumfirmline, and they said the man was a Haddock..
