Non League Chatter

A few weeks away yet, but this could be the biggest attendance Victory Park have had for many a year with it being a title cruncher. Come on Chester beat those Leigh stealing body-snatchers.

A date for your diaries, on Saturday 4th July Atherton Collieries will play Bolton Wanderers, Neil Lennon has said he will bring a good squad down

  • I'm very fair and even handed on this one. I hate both sets of cunts.

  • Said nobody ever

Reet, for anyone who enjoys a good game of football with agression thrown in, Athy Colls play local rivals Hindsford in the knockout stages (oh yes we are in tune with Europe)of the Atherton Charity Cup on Tuesday night, as always everyone is welcome.

Colls lost 2-0 to Hindsford sorry Salford City, why the fuck do local teams do this, bring ringers in for a local cup competition, if I was a Hindsford player and dropped for a ringer I'd tell them to fuck off on Saturday

Are they allowed to do that ? Anyway its either Holker OB v Colne in the FA vase, or Dalton Utd v Burnley Utd in the Lancs Sheild on Saturday.

I might venture down the hill to watch Bacup Boro take on Ashton Athletic in the FA Vase.

?6 a ticket.

Get your games in now Traf, it will be like Moscow in those East Lancashire hills in a few weeks.:D

Oh aye, tell me about it.

Bacup don't play home games from November to March generally and then have to play about 15 games in 2 months to finish the season on time.

Local derby for us on Saturday in the FA Vase. :drinks:

Wilt Tharsnal game be on in there?

Kinell, what a day, got a lift off a mate going to Leigh, and onwards on the bus to Wiggin and a swift pint in Harrys Bar, train to Southport which was more packed than John Holmes, found a sultry spot in the sun in a beer garden at Leos Bar, and then an owd Yorkshire mon came asking me whats the best place to buy three quarter socks. I moved on to a pub with about 15 TV sets showing the Mickey Derby on dodgy, more prams crammed in the pub than a nursery. I thought fuck it, i will get to Formby. Got the train, and a bus to the village, christ, the local pub was just so packed with scouse cunts, i had to wait 15 mins before i got served. Walked 20 minutes to the ground in blazing sunshine and witnessed a 4-3 win for the Colls. i got a lift back off the nice Atherton fans and the Colls play this Monday against Padiham.

I think those good lads saved my bacon, my plan after the game was going in to Liverpool, and Wiggin, and looking at todays results it could have been dire with my gob :D

Sounds like a good day out that.

Just back from Glasgow, great people, great hospitality but I hate modern, all seater stadia.

Matlock Town next week, can't wait.

You will enjoy that musty smell in the clubhouse what looks like an old scout hut, apart from that the views are stunning.

Known Packy since a young lad, he came to my 92nd league visit at Bournemouth in 79. We all got pissed on free ale. when they played Huddersfield..

I went to Chorley v Burscough. Chorley won 2-1 with a goal in the 4th minute of added time. You would have thought Chorley were bottom of the league and Burscough challenging for the top. I suppose playing badly and winning is the sign of a good team.
