Alan Allcock, Evo-Stik League Operations Manager said, ?I am a little surprised on the insistence of a change of kick off time for this fixture in view of FC United?s excellent behaviour by their supporters particularly over the past 12 months.

 

"FC United have been involved in some very high profile games including an evening Play-Off Semi Final at Bradford and 3pm kick-off at the Final away to Colwyn Bay. The reports received back from The FA observer and what I witnessed myself at Colwyn Bay showed that without segregation linked with good even handed stewarding a high profile fixture can take place in good spirit and without trouble.

 

?I hope that FC United supporters will still make the journey to Chorley to give the team their traditional support. I can understand why some people may wish to make a protest at such changes.

 

"However, the only way authorities will be convinced that kick off times need not be changed is if there is a capacity crowd and both sets of supporters do what they are best at and that is giving, with excellent behaviour, full support on the day to their respective club. A half empty ground and no trouble does not prove anything. A full ground and no trouble would be considerable proof towards convincing people to relax the arrangements that have been forced on Chorley FC for the FC United fixture.?

a good nights entertainment, kick off delayed by 15 mins due to crowd, had a pint in ramsbottom cc before the game,and the fa cup was in there so that was a bonus,

 

salford scored in 1st minute, but rammy hit the winner in last 2 mins to complete a well deserved win. approx 4/500 on, ?6 in great value for money as well.

Agreed fester very nice wee ground with views of holcombe tower behind one goal. Steam train came by behind other goal echos of the embankment on a smaller scale. Nice pint of wainwright int club pie n peas looked good for ?1.50.

Bin up to clitheroe who gubbed skem 4 nil nice tight ground with a fair sloping pitch. Copper dragon on cask int club ?7 in free for kids highly recommended. Just sampling a few int village.

Just got back from Squires Gate, Colls lost 1-0, they seemed to want it more, tidy ground, the ale was ?2.50 for a can,

I presume the 11.30 kick off is in response to Chorley fans' recent behaviour (Chester), not FC United's.

 

Only part FCUM play is they've got substantial away support. I may be wrong but I think the kick off would've been moved even if we were playing Norwich on the 10th.

FOLLOWING a meeting between Chorley FC, FC United of Manchester, The Evo-Stik League and Lancashire Police FC UNITED have decided not to accept their allocation of tickets for this Saturday's game and the kick-off has now been moved to 12.30pm

Had alot of mates play for Glossop North End over the years

 

Was supposed to go to Wembley watching them in the FA Vase final a couple of years ago but never made it, can't remember why

 

Tameside / North Derbyshire has a strong tradition for non-league football, many feel that City's move out that way could have a detrimental effect on the clubs around there but I don't see it myself
