peebles Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Going watching Chorley v FC United at Gigg Lane tomorrow. Hope they fare better than the Wanderers when they've visited in my experience. Quote
fester58 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 another win for chorley today 1-0 against nantwich. apparently the club are in all sorts of financial trouble due to ?50000 going missing from the clubs accounts, if any of you fancy a refreshing change watching football were both teams want to win then you could do worse than head to victory park chorley and watch a game. Was a young lad (23 year old accountant) by all accounts. Apparently he and his family where getting threatened by some scum and he nicked 50k to give to them. The scum have been nicked last I herd. Word on the old Chorley grapevine is a winding up order is going in soon, that would be the end of the Chorley revolution. Quote

I heard the same, i cant see Flitcroft hanging about with all this shite going on, he left Leigh Genesis for lesser problems, just having a white elephant of a stadium to bankrupt the club. Quote

jayjayoghani Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I take it you never went to the open meeting last week? Would you mind explaining? My company is one of Chorley FC creditors not being paid atm due to the mess. Quote
birch-chorley Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I take it you never went to the open meeting last week? No I didn't, like I said its what I herd on the grapevine. I would like to know the full tale please if you are itk Quote
C86 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 No I didn't, like I said its what I herd on the grapevine. I would like to know the full tale please if you are itk ?77K went missing. They have ?20K they have to pay very soon, which they are confident of doing. They said they will get the money back (insurance I tihnk) once the court case has finshed. The question of going in to administration was asked but the reply was it wasn't going to happen. If they did they would be automatically relegated. If CFC do get promoted they would have to have the ground to a set standard by March 2012, it ain't going to happen, the grass bankings need concreting. There's talk of buying next years ST's now or a rolling ST where you pay a set amount every month. A few of us are going between xmas and new year to help work on the ground, got 900 seats from York Racecourse. Got told a few things else but these where "off the record". Next time you're there let me know, have a pint with us Quote

athywhite1958 Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Colls should be at Daisy Hill[billies] on Boxing Day, I wouldn't think there'll be much chance of it going ahead, unless they wear flippers. Quote

Snow_white Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 What do the loyal Chorley fans think about the day tripping dingles coming down on Saturday as a protest to their own club? Quote
fester58 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 far play to them, if they fetch 200 through the turnstiles and help the reduce the debt the clubs got, i wonder how many will be repeat visitors. as long as they are there to watch football and protest against venkys or kean, i will still have a wanderers badge on the wind the fuckers up Quote
