tomski Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 That's a long drive if they've done it all this afternoon and I'm right thinking ebbsfleet is Kent? Quote

leigh white Posted April 3, 2013 Author Posted April 3, 2013 That's a long drive if they've done it all this afternoon and I'm right thinking ebbsfleet is Kent? Used to be Gravesend, but changed the name a few years ago, still same ground though. Was down that end in 2000 working on Bluewater during the petrol rationing and our boss wanted us to drive to Barrow to do some snagging work after we had finished in Dartford on the same day. We said we would go up the day after. Quote

Didn't we play Grimsby away in what I think was the.lowest championship gate that season Quote
Traf Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 That's a long drive if they've done it all this afternoon and I'm right thinking ebbsfleet is Kent? They're in Northfleet, near Gravesend. I don't see what the issue is: it's only a 650 mile round trip! Oh, and about 70-odd miles on the bastard A bastard 5 cunting 90. Quote

I thought we were playing a merseyside team they were doing that much whinging and whining Bloke stood near me reckoned it was never a red card and never a penalty. Was starting to think I was watching the wrong game because they were both spot on decisions (and Colls should have had another penalty earlier in the second half right in front of the linesman). He came to us whinging it was the worst refereeing display ever, how the fuck did their No 6 stay on the pitch, horrible dirty cnut, threatening supporters made him look a proper knob BTW, Colls are at home tomorrow night (Tuesday) V Little Lever in the Hospital Cup Edited April 8, 2013 by athywhite1958 Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 A good 2-0 win keeps us on track, I reckon we need 6 points from the last 3 games to be sure of promotion Be struggling on that front surely, 5 points behind Abbey Hey (who have two games in hand) and 9 behind Formby (who have 4(!) games in hand)? It is only the top two who go up, isn't it? Or are Formby going to be knocked back because of their ground? Quote

Looks like it, it's between us, Ashton, Darwen, Didsbury, Abbey Hey are as good as up, we play Didsbury next Monday and Ashton last game of the season on the 27th so it really is up to the Colls lads to win the games Quote
athywhite1958 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Athy Colls won today at Rochdale, as other results went our way we only need to win on Monday night against Chorlton & West Didsbury to get promoted, please, if you're not doing anything on Monday night come to Alder House and give the Colls lads some support, we're hoping for a good local turnout to suppoprt them Good ale, good food and most important - good company Quote
athywhite1958 Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Well, the dream is over, we lost 2-0 at home to West Didsbury who will be promoted instead of us, gutted, Quote

Only seen W Dids once this season when they played Oldham at Alder House, and looked a decent side. Anyway, another " Flatcap" to look forward to next season. Quote

They aren't a 'good' footballing side but they are very physical and in your face, they bullied their way to a win last night and our lads couldn't cope with them Quote
