athywhite1958 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Atherton Colls ICF will be mobbing up for it, meeting in Rope & Anchor around 5 ish then on the train to Daisy Hill-billy land, a few scoops in Howfen after the game Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Daisy Hill v Colls tonight postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. Gutted. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Superb win for the Whites today, much needed, on a lesser note Cammell Laird lost at AFC Darwen which means we [Colls] are 1 point behind them with 4 games in hand, we play Darwen at home on Monday night, we need 2 wins for promotion and 7 wins [out of 11] to win the league, that is providing the plastic scousers win all of their remaining games. Cleggy's Black & White Army Quote
Carlos Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Lairds have been winging it with a few single goal victories since losing their top scorer (who looked like a lazy cunt) to Linnets. Piece of piss... Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Can't go on Monday but hopefully three points to set up a promotion party at home to Holker OB on the 23rd. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 (edited) A good win again tonight, 4-1 against a capable Darwen side, 1-0 for them at half team after a poor first half, a Battersby hat-trick saw them off in the second half. We are now top of the league 2 points clear with 3 games in hand, 1 more win to guarantee promotion , Edited March 16, 2015 by athywhite1958 Quote
athywhite1958 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I hope you all have a good day out in Wiggin, meanwhile the Athy Colls contingent will be descending on Runcorn Town for the semi-final of the Men United cup Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Couple of our lot are going, hope you have a good day and will see you at the Holker game on Monday. Mrs reckons I'm sad that I managed to recognise Runcorn Town's ground when flying in to Liverpool on Tuesday Quote
athywhite1958 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Great day out in Runcorn, we won 1-0 to put us in the final V either Glossop or Bootle, I hope it's Glossop, the final is at Curzon Ashton in about 3 weeks time, we drank them out of cider, not a shock as it was only £1.50 a pint Quote
athywhite1958 Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 A good 7-0 win against Blackrod last night in the Hospital Cup, a good run out for Saturdays League Cup semi final against Litherland, at home, KO 3.00pm, all welcome Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Amazed there weren't any red cards last night. Bit feisty for a charity game! Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Must have taken a tremendous effort given the rain overnight, but today's semi final at Colls is ON. Quote
Carlos Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 That volley for no. 4 was worth the trip. And MC Cover, covering the crowd with mud. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Were you caught in the shower Carlos? We were a bit further along the touchline but got a bit nervy any time the ball came nearby. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Thanks to all the Bolton lads (and everybody else) for attending yesterday, you all made for a good atmosphere, the final, V AFC Darwen, is on St Georges day at Bootle 7.45 KO Quote
Carlos Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Were you caught in the shower Carlos? We were a bit further along the touchline but got a bit nervy any time the ball came nearby. Was close, but escaped unscathed. We were next to the bloke we shouts "Let's have another Colls" after every goal. Quote
birch-chorley Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Chiggers won 6 - 0 Good play off chance Any idea if they would be let into the conference or does the ground still require upgrading? Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Chiggers won 6 - 0 Good play off chance Any idea if they would be let into the conference or does the ground still require upgrading? I know it used to be a rule in the Conference that, if you stood on the centre spot, then no grass verges within the ground could be in sight, so there would have to be quite a bit of work done on two sides of the ground. Leyther_Matt Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Daisy Hill vs Colls somewhat unsurprisingly called off. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 The game was on up to an hour before KO, all of our players were there, some of them having finished work early, that pitch at Daisy Hill had around £40k spent on the drains last summer, paid for by Viridor, I would be looking for my money back, they haven't played on it since the beginning of March, Two words - Tin Pot Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Colls are at Darwen tonight if it beats the weather. 3pm pitch inspection Quote
Carlos Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Off. Fucking shit Darreners, you'd think they'd have pitch fork or two. Quote
C86 Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 CF Malaga v Real Sociedad for us today, 10pm ko... Fanzone opened at 2pm. Quote
birch-chorley Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Another win for chiggers Should be secure enough for a play off spot now Quote
