Big E Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 You care really see. We're coming for you, we're coming for youuuu, Chester City, we're coming for you!! If Chorley go up that division would be brilliant with Wrexham, Chester, Southport and Tranmere in it....unfortunately I've already renewed with Bolton ???? Chester on corporate is a must. Quote
Carlos Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Went to Turton v LR last night, got there late and missed the goal, it had been all Turton apparently. Finished 1-0 with both sides missing a pen. Christ the refs get some abuse at that level. Turton players were dropping like flies, Colls will hammer them at the Macron. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 (edited) Went to Chorley game it was terrible game terrible standard fair play to those who go to watch that on a regular basis once or twice a season would be more than enough for me. On the plus side good ale and one or 2 good looking girls serving the ale. Edited April 30, 2015 by Mounts Kipper Quote

On the plus side good ale and one or 2 good looking girls serving the ale. I've not seen chorley play this season but from what I've heard they have played well. With regards to last night I've read elsewhere, " for the neutral it must have been tedious in the extreme. Neither side was prepared to take risks, understandably with so much at stake, and safety first in clearing out of defence too often meant the aimless long ball." Also I've watched Bolton once this season and it was a terrible standard but fair play to those who watch that on a regular basis... Edited April 30, 2015 by C86 Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 (edited) C86 fair comment about the no risks taken last night from both teams but to even compare a pretty poor Bolton team to what I saw last night is ridiculous, at least Bolton/championship teams attempt to get the ball down on the floor and pass to one and other, even if there not that good at it, there is an attempt to play football. I cannot fully describe through words how shit that game was last night. Suffice to say that style/standard of football is not for me on anything like a regular basis. QFPants Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 To be fair Mounts the pitch has got steadily worse as the season has gone on, and had such an uneven bounce in the centre of the park that the players didn't seem to trust their own touch and/or the pitch, so resorted to long ball (which I do think was due to the potential prize at stake). Agree it was dreadful last night and Chorley were lucky to get a 0-0, but it probably wasn't a fair indicator of their general play. I make around 10 Chorley games a season (mainly night games or if we are away and I don't fancy it/can't afford it) but it will never be a substitute for the whites for me; just an excuse for a couple of beers and some live football walking distance from my house Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 (edited) QF pants think your comments are fair about the pitch and it cant be as bad as that every game that's for sure. For me once or twice a season I might nip down if nothing else on just to support the local team. I wish Chorley F.C. the best of luck at Boston and will be keeping an eye out for the score. athywhite1958 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I was talking to some of the players today, they are gutted they lost their discipline last night, we were told before the game that Glossop are good at playing like little girls and sniper victims, the lads are determined to make up for it on Tuesday at the Macron against Turton in the Hospital Cup final Quote

Carlos Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 I went to the Turton v LR game as I've moved into South Turton from LR territory. Fuck me, the Turton bench can moan, I won't be hurrying back. However, their CB who looked decent went off with a hammy, they finished with 10 men due to injuries and another lad was limping, dropping life flies at the end. Colls will hammer them. Quote
C86 Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Mounts, looks like you should have gone to the away leg, chorley equalised in the 95th min then won on pens. Please don't go to the final next sat at chorley... Quote

Please don't go to the final next sat at chorley... I was listening to the extra time and penalties on Chorley FM brave effort to score in the 95th minute and hold on for penalties. Was planning to go next week but luckily for Chorley I'm booked for a 50th at Haydock. Be made up if Chorley do it. Quote

birch-chorley Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 My lot are in - should be a full house I would have imagined If they go up and play Tranmere then I am going to wank through Elton Welsbys letter box Quote
Breightmet Boy Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Looked like a majestic overhead kick for the 95th minute goal on twitter A penalty save by Breightmets very own Sam Ashton then a penalty save at the end for a 5-4 win. They did really well, 2-0 down and only 10 men. Quote
