Gutted for the lad I really am, I'm just hoping he can play some part in the final if we get there.

Would rather have lost 5-0 on saturday and have had Holden still fit.

Would be wrong if Evans could play and Holden couldn't

Not good news according to Holden's tweet last night.

Says more detail in morning.

If he's out for the semi's we can kiss goodbye to an FA Cup final appearance..

I've just heard, admittedly off Facebook, he's out for up to 9 months. I hope this is wrong :(

It makes Stoke hot favourites for the semi final. Our bad run in the New Year coincided with Holden's injury, think the only Prem side we have beaten in league or cup without Holden this season is Wigan and it was their reserves team.

The injury to Stu could have the opposite effect. It may be that the team try even hard for the lad and dedicate the win to him. I personally think that's the best way to deal with it.

Have faith

COYWM :yahoo:

When you look at our season, our dip started in the middle when Holden was out. However, when you look at how Mark Davies had developed over the course of the season, I feel that if he comes back in asap we have great cover.

If we are honest its Muamba who is the weak link in central midfield with or without Holden.

He's brilliant, best passer in the league etc etc.

What has he said on Twitter?

Just that it is bad news.......he wont say anything on there. will come from the club.

He just tweeted to say it's bad news and will speak tomorrow. Must be ligament damage. Bad bad news

If he's going to miss the semi it's a massive blow simple as that but with the international break we can dust ourselves down get Mavies fit and be ready and up for it - feel so gutted for him

Absolutely gutted about this ....fingers crossed that it's not as bad as we fear

Just heard that on Twitter. Word is it's come via Gartside Jnr.

Last night's rumour, allegedly based on ITK Twitter, was a bad gash & a 3-4 week absence.

This morning, he's supposedly out for 9 months.

What next ? He's really a Martian & he's gone home to see his mum ?

absolutely pig sick

I asked the lad who he heard it from and he said A Gartside, I just hope Uncle Phils lad is a bit of a balloon :(

Stu posted on twitter last night that it wasnt good news!!, didnt go into any more detail though

For him to say its bad news it must be a season ender

Shit shit shit shit shit

Hope to F*** we can get some official news soon. The waiting is agony.

Nightmare. We'll struggle to win another game this season

Out for the season and probably the gold cup for Yanks in Summer. Confirmed via BWFC Official Twitter.

Massive blow feel so sorry for Stu what a great lad he's very very unlucky.................but refelct for a couple days then start believing again whoevers in the team think of Nat on their way out to the pitch on the 17th and they'll feel 10 feet tall whoever they are COYWM!!!!

6 months out, what a sickener.

I don't wish injury on any of our players, but for it to be our player of the season, well that just totally sucks

De-Jong, Evans, who else wants to ruin his career!

Edited by Didledee

Sounds like we won't be seeing him till next season at least - gutted! Top man.

Just hope it's an injury that isn't going to keep recurring now. That's the last thing he needs. Poor bloke's had some terrible luck with injuries!

Time for Muamba and Mavies to step up.....
