Wanderers V West Ham

Well, we all know we're gonna win but by how many. Im gonna go 5-1.

You can only buy two tickets together in the south upper so it should be a decent crowd, i'll go with 25,302.

What an entertaining performance from the Wanderers!!! :good:

1st half was so one sided, it was just Bolton attacking for what seemed the whole 45 minutes, endless attempts, endless great football, glorious goal from Sturridge, his left foot is filled with golddust! I loved our 2nd goal, not just because Chungy scored again, but it was a nice move, Lee with a fancy through ball to Elmander[who had a great game in the midfield]then Elmo found Petrov, who put in an absolute beaut, Lee rises so well for a small guy, his head is filled with golddust!

2nd half West Ham were better, they hit the woodwork a couple of times, but we easily could have hit 10 today, Sturridge was absolutely class, yes he should have had at least an hat-trick, he could easily have had a double hat-trick, his running, passing and skill was a joy to watch, I was sure he would have scored again, how many times did he have the opportunity to get a very long awaited match ball performance from a Wanderer.

Every player was great, Alonso was shocking at Birmingham last week, but I thought he improved greatly, his crossing needs more work, but I liked how he got forward and ran at players, our left side was a real threat, Muamba intercepted well and did well to brake and put Sturridge through for his hat trick chance, in the 1st half he should have passed, but choose to shoot, Sturridge wasn't happy, but you can let him off with that.

Seriously how many goals could we have scored today, Sturridge could have had 6+, Elmander had a couple of efforts blocked, Klasnic and Rodrigo had decent efforts, Cahill and Knight from corners, K.Davies missed an absolute sitter, but R.Green saved it, should have been a corner, it really should have been a goal though.

Terrific whites, what a fantastic performance to give a week before Wembley =D>

Only downside was we could have broke the record Prem win, 3-0 flattered West Ham, that has to be up there with one of the worst 1st half performances from a Prem side ever!

i know he wouldnt sign

and they wouldnt accept it

and we wouldnt have the money

but id pay 10 million for sturridge tomorrow

Agreed. He was outstanding again today.

What a performance prior to Wembley. Yes its West Ham but everyone today performed, and could easily have been 6 or 7 nil. We are on our way from Tenerife next week for the semis, play like we did today and we are in the final. Come on you Whites.

Said it for a while

Elmander could be one of the best midfielders we've ever had.

I'm deadly serious.

He was tremendous! got forward, got back, got an assist also. That tackle in the box was perfection. I reckon he'll start alongside K.Davies next week, if M.Davies is fit, but..

..if M.Davies is out then I'd say it'll be the same midfield as today at Wembley, with K.Davies and Klasnic upfront.

Do you think the rest of the team like Sturridge? I was surprised at the muted celebration after his second goal. Is he too big headed for a full contract at Bolton?

some guy won ?2k on 3-0 & sturridge first goal, he looked ill in stoppage time

Some people will be fucking livid they've got nothing to moan about, until next week... West Ham were utter dogshit, Wayne Bridge looked like a punchdrunk boxer, they should have thrown in the towel. Team full of over the hill cloggers, I'm tempted to email the nonce-a-like Martin Samuel.

Scott "England & PFA Nominated" Parker v Fabrice "cant pass two yards, water carrier" Muamba

No contest =D>

West ham were fucking rubbish.

Sturridge was unbelievable.

aye, hes shite that muamba

Every player looked and played as if their semi-final place was at stake. Maybe OC had told them if they try to play with one eye on next weekend they would put their place up for grabs.

I thought about that. At one point in the second half Sturridge lost the ball rather than play it out to Rodrigo. If looks could kill Sturridge would be 6 feet under, Rodrigo wasn't happy.

Sturridge was unbelievable.

He is not a team player. End of.

I get the feeling that he is not the most popular player in the squad.

I am personally glad he is Cup tied. We can win without him.

As OC says its about the "group" and not any individual who thinks he's above it all.

Bit sunburnt.

Really good result and performance. Just what we needed prior to next Sunday.

I've not been a great fan of Petrov but thought that he had one of his better games today. He and Alonso always looked threatening.

West Ham though were dire, particularly so in the first half. Can't believe we only scored 3.

did you forget to log in as tonycee?

Absolutely delighted. Cracking weather. Cracking crowd. Cracking atmosphere. Cracking performance. Cracking win. Roll on Wembley!

In a funny way, I think it's a good thing. Similar to Anelka. Kind of arrogant but not in a bad way if that makes sense?!

And if he carries on scoring like he is doing im not going to complain.

aye

as coyle says its about the team and not the individual who thinks hes above it all

thats why coyle doesn't play

oh fuck

wait a minute..........

Sturridge is a little greedy and tries to do things on his own sometimes, but his goal scoring speaks for itself, and he does pass it well, he likes to switch the ball I've seen.

His type of play wouldn't be welcomed in a Barca[esque] side because it's more about one/two touch, in a way he's similar to Messi[obviously not as good], very clever and can run at players, but without the real team play to his game, if he was brought up with say Spanish coaching, I reckon he'd a sensational player, what he's done for us has been excellent, but at times he does overdo being 'greedy'

He does moan also when he doesn't get the ball he wants, but he knows with his ability he can do things and today he could have easily had 6-8 goals.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear! After one of our best performances of the season and one week before a semi final appearance, people are finding fault with individual players. I really do hope that the moaners are the same 'stay away' fans who couldn't be arsed getting a ticket to one of our biggest matches for years. I'd hate to be sat next to someone spouting the same negative shit next week!

I just thought the goal celebration for Sturridges second goal was interesting. Only Elmander and Davies came over to him, the rest were gathered by the dugout getting a drink.

On a more positive note, Alonso has come on really well this year.

Admittedly, I was watcing from a distance, but I thought that we were all shit apart from probalbly Jussi.

You lot need to watch the highlights tonight. You'll see I was right. West Ham had more going forward than we did, and were unlucky to lose 3-0. it should have been 5-1 to them.

Where were you watching from? The Queen Vic?
