We wont get ?4 million for Al Habsi or ?10 million for CYL imo. If we sell Cahill and CYL thats probably our two of our 3 best players gone. Nobody on that list where ive put too expensive would be sold for under ?10 million imo due to age/position/nationality.

 

I have to disagree, you say the above players worth 10 million yet we would not get 10 million for CYL. I would argue that CYL is better than any of the above named players and he is still relatively young at 23, so I dont know how you draw that conclusion. Al Habsi has had a great season and it was rumoured Wigan were willing to pay a couple of million for him, nothing he has done this year will put of bigger clubs than Wigan, it is rumoured Man City might be interested and as he is on a long term contract I expect at least 3-4 million. I do agree with Newman though, the prefered option would be to keep them all, but we know that will not happen.

It won't be going unnoticed by the big guns of the league that they can send their starlets to Bolton and they return a much better player.

Some players I would look at would be Rodallega, Nzogbia, Phil Jones at Blackburn,Pratley,another players I like who could do a similar job to Kevin Davies are Carlton Cole and Jay Bothroyd,and of course I would love Sturridge to stay.

Agree about Green and Upson, I have a feeling that Cole is playing at the wrong club for his style and he might improve greatly if he came to Bolton if we played to his strengths.

Its more down to our ability to sell players for half their asking price regarding CYL than his actual quality. The lad is class and we should keep him unless somebody offers something mental. Dont be suprised if we only get ?15 million for Cahill because we are shit at negotiating a transfer.

McCarthy favours one up top, and as Kevin Doyle is excellent at that, it means Fletcher only comes on as a 'plan B'.

 

That's my take on it anyway.

 

Should Wolves go down I think a decent offer for Doyle would be worth doing - an ideal replacement for SKD.
