Again I think he'd want too much for us, but I think he could do a job on the right hand side as cover too. Our reserve right winger last year was Rodrigo (who we've also lost), so it's not like we're full of options

I'd say much more of a holding midfielder than a box-to-box midfielder. One goal, yes, one goal for Aston Villa in well over a hundred games would indicate I'm right on that one.

Seeing how short we were last season in centre mid, seeing the injuries that our centre mids currently have and seeing how injury prone they are, and people still don't want Reo-Coker?

 

Some people need there fuckin heads testing.

 

He would be starting centre mid alongside Holden even with a fully fit squad for me. He's a very under-rated box to box midfielder that has bags of experience and could take over the captains role if our "undroppable" captain was shockingly left out for one reason or another.

 

Much better than the Muamba of last season.

Midfield is mostly / usually in the treatment room and we have no real 90-minute strikers, but we're splashing all out (currently available) money on a winger or a full-back ?

In terms of fee agreed it does seem to be 'done'. HOwever the Sunday People piece makes clear we've yet to persuade the player himself and three other Spanish clubs are interested.

Yeah, pretty much so. All players presumed shit until they've put in at least six shifts or scored a last-minute winner. It's the same for all clubs/supporters.
