smithills_gent Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Where are Wolves getting their money from? ?7M for Johnson, ?5M for O'Hara and work well underway to re-build three quarters of the stadium. They aren't suffering the consequences of flushing ?10 million down the bog like Bolton did on Elmander and Shittu.
TrickyTrotter Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 They aren't suffering the consequences of flushing ?10 million down the bog like Bolton did on Elmander and Shittu. ?7m on Fletcher -not a complete waste of money but think Elmander delivered more last year. ?2m on Greg Halford
superjohnmcginlay Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Barry Ferguson http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_7032801,00.html
Danny G Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 "Bolton boss Owen Coyle is looking to bolster his midfield and sees Ferguson as an attractive option" What a load of bollocks, how many centre midfielders have we got?
DazBob Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 This one might have some truth in it. Brum will probably be happy just to get him off their wage bill so I'd imagine, given his age and him being in his final year, the fee will only be nominal. Who will we have fit to play in the centreof midfield in August? Muamba, Pratley and Mark Davies? Who else? Mark Davies is as injury prone as they come and Pratley is untested at this level. Not saying I agree with it, but it wouldn't surprise me.
victor meldrew Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 according to someone i know, (who is a director) we are skint and will not be spending any money unless cahill is sold. worrying times ahead.
Didledee Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 From being linked with Thiago to being linked with Ferguson, ahh the good old transfer window rumour shite, what next
hughmungus Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 according to someone i know, (who is a director) we are skint and will not be spending any money unless cahill is sold. worrying times ahead. This is the most sensible post I've read on here for a long time

If this is concrete, I really do worry for us. I can't see where our goals are coming from. Even with the 17 mil estimated for Cahill, I worry.

Not saying I agree with it, but it wouldn't surprise me. That's a relief. I was beginning to think I was the only one worried about the number of sick-notes in midfield. Not that I think we'll be able to do much about it, given the lack of funds.
Rembrandt Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 according to someone i know, (who is a director) we are skint and will not be spending any money unless cahill is sold. worrying times ahead. Sounds realistic to me. Looking increasingly likely that the club are running out of steam in the Prem. ?90+m in debt and increasing with each season. BUT ...... I won't give up hope just yet.

The fact the manager keeps saying week in week out we've had no cahill bids sounds like he wants get shut sooner rather than later so he can get on with signing his own players
jules_darby Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 This is the most sensible post I've read on here for a long time Sensible or stating what we already know Is BWFC being skint honestly news to anyone?
Boothy Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Is the ?90 million debt not underwritten by the owner of the Club?
HomerJay Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Sensible or stating what we already know Is BWFC being skint honestly news to anyone? correct.
hughmungus Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Is the ?90 million debt not underwritten by the owner of the Club? Yes our Eddie is looking after that bit, however he is a businessman and over the years he has ensured we only spend what we can afford which without the Cahill money isn't a great deal. Don't see good old OC pulling off a Sam like purchase, I mean Okocha etc and not Jardel !, in the next 2-3 weeks. Get used to a few more 5 plus arse kickings maybe, and the odd spawny win against the bigger teams like Wigan and Swansea.

We were about ?23m in debt. Over 10 Prem seasons it's risen to ?90+m. Surely that must mean we've been spending what we CAN'T afford.
Danny G Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 How is the debt recoverable for E.Davies then? Knocking down half of the North Stand and building a Sainsbury's there
Guest bwfcdan Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 It's all going to be fine. I've just seen Eddie Davies and Gartside buying euromillions ticket's for tonight. Come tomorrow morning, the debt will be no more!!
Guest Blixa Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 We're in the Premier League. This is the golden age. Enjoy it while it lasts. You'll really have something to moan about when we get relegated and go bust.
Sweep Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 You'll really have something to moan about when we get relegated and go bust. I was thinking that the other day, it seems like it's only a matter of time......but you never know some Asian with more money than sense may think it's a good idea to buy us one day and save us!
tylswhite Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Why is everybody panicking? In all the years ive ever been watching us we have rarely signed anyone by this time in the summer. We always do our business late-ish so why are people thinking this year would be any different?
