In the premiership? Yeh right. I've been doing it for years in goal @ semi pro & still am in the west west lancs league..It's a stressfull job

at that level never mind proffesional level where everyones elses winning bonuses are on your shoulders.

Jussis having a bad spell ok he was'nt at best form last season but he will return..

As I said above I no longer play semi pro, we are all entitled to our opinons,

but does average Joe in the street really know the stress goalkeepers go through mentally?

I think not..Jussi is off form but again as I've said he will come good.

I don't take it personal Jussi was & still is a good keeper, I know he's a miserable get but he's

played well over the years for Bolton, he could of moved onto bigger clubs in the past but stuck with us.

He needs a confidence boost from the fans, he will come good.

we played a few pre season friendlies against youth, they did us for pace but we held our own, won some lost some, never got battered, its great sunday morning though with having the rolling subs if you get tired, still you get a tough game in the vets league

At his current age, he should be at his peak.

It's up to the specialist goalkeeper coach to get that sorted, not the fans. We do still have a specialist goalkeeper coach, I assume.

We have 2 don't we, or we had, Fred Barber and the bloke Coyle had to bring from Burnley.

Whilst not fully agreeing/understanding the introduction of Hughes: surely he hasn't coached indecision into Jussi & the back 4.

 

Jussi's far from his best, but he isn't helped by the general chaos going on 20 yards or so in front of him.

He was poor at the back end of last season also, in one of his biggest games for Bolton, he was very poor at Wembley, mistake at United etc, his mistakes are gathering up, the first goal we conceded this season was because of Jussi, he's not consistent, he can still make great saves, but he's not the Jussi of years gone by.

 

If it wasn't for his great service and excellent years as keeper for us, then judging on these past months, he'd be looked at just like De Gea as, mistakes are too common and they are mistakes that are costing us, yet to be fair, it's not like he has a defence to give him any needed confidence, he's always going to be called upon a lot during a game when we play like we have, mistakes are going to happen, but some of these mistakes should be no problem for a Premiership keeper imo.

what your all forgetting is that this is the same team that last time out banged 8 past arsenal! i'm not forgiving it, but just look at the result on paper. nobody would have us winning it. sure we're all optimistic, but you've got to be realistic. last season they had a shit start and we had a good start to the season, things change. normal service will be resumed against norwich next week. have to agree that jussi is past it!

I think that we should get Nicky Hunt back so that people can vent all their anger on one man and leave off the rest.

 

Don't think Jussi can be faulted on much on Sat. But, he has never been the quickest off his line.
