Why, cos i hate England?

Horrific being in this country in the build up to a tournament. Euro 2008 was great, watch football in peace without a load of nonsense that goes with it. That said i'll never forget some parts of the last world cup, barry being left for dead by ozil will live we a long time. Painful exits always the best and a thumping by Germany fits the bill perfectly. Ideal world them or Argentina to send england packing from tournaments, great stuff.

Tyler has, but no mention of missing 3 games, that was violent conduct, so it's 3, if friendlies count, then we'll have 3 friendlies before the Euro's start, so Rooney's ban could be used up during those.

Euro 2008 was so much better without England in it, and the press giving it the usual big one in the leadup. Cant stand it.

Whilst I also get wound up by all the plastic football fans coming out of the woodwork filling the pubs going on about how we are going to win it and being shocked by yet another no show I cant understand anyone who is English not wanting us to be at the tournament.

 

We will get out of the group but as soon as we face decent opposition especially the Spanish, Dutch or Germans we are not good enough.

Fair enough. Some like the build up to tournaments, some don't. I think international tournaments are great, but for me Euro 2008 would have been so much better had England been in it. The press do go over the top when it comes to England, but I just turn to the next page of the newspaper or flick the channel over if I don't want to hear what Peter Crouch was having for his breakfast that morning.

that's the problem, todays football fan is more interested in the off the field gossip peddled by the 24-7 media outlets to fill pages and air time than supporting their national side to the death. England players of the past were probably also unsavoury characters but as the news only came every morning or at 10pm they weren't considered news worthy.

 

how a fan of bolton can complain that england don't win all the time, when their 1st footballing love is also 'bog average' baffles me.
