So it's all his fault is it? His fault that he inherited the likes of Robinson, Knight, Steinsson, etc? That Elmander and Sturridge left? That Taylor was sold? CYL and Holden got injured That he was given just ?7M to spend to assemble a squad? His fault that players are sulking because they won't be getting another fat contract from the club when their current one expires?

To be honest, he knew both Elmander (out of contract and announced he wouldn't be staying) and Sturridge (Only here on loan anyway) were going at the end of the season. He's replaced them with N'Gog and doesn't play him. Instead he perseveres with Kev davies who, at best, should really get 15 minutes at the end of games to try and shake up some tired defences.

As regards the players sulking. The after-match interview was the first time he's come out and said what we all suspected. He lost some of the players.

Fine, deal with that. City had a petulent cunt in Carlos Teves. Mancini has dealt with it.

It is his fault as he's the manager and as such should have 1) replaced the 'poor' players.

2) replaced the departed strikers with players he was prepared to actually fucking play.

3) Holden and Lee were injured and Taylor was sold with plenty of time left in the transfer window.

4) managers have to work within a budget Fat Sam hardly had a fortune when he was here. Swansea haven't exactly broke the bank.

5) as the manager he should be capable of controlling the griping players as that is his job.

Are you really comparing our situation to City's?

a stupid statement, i agree

however

if we're going to lose every fcuking week, do you really think i - and others - would be at the end of our tether with coyle if he'd said 'x,y and z are out of contract in june - they're playing the utter cunt and i'm not having them play for me again so i'm going with kids, even if we go down with 9 points'

he'd get my support, but his piss arsing around and blaming everybody but him, marks him down as a drowning swan

My guess would be Taylor was sold because in excess of ?2m was just too much to turn down, which I think was the view of 95% of this board at the time as well.

I'm comparing Bolton's lack of managerial know-how, yes. If a player doesn't want to play, make it very public and drop the fucker. You can bet that any of the rest of the squad will pretty soon realise that it's a quick route to not being a footballer anyone would want.

1. With a total budget of ?7M?

2. Do you really think he signed N'gog with the intention of not playing him?

3. Plenty of time maybe, but not plenty of money to do it with.

4. Swansea spent more than us on transfer fees this summer.

5. I doubt anyone can force players to stop sulking if that's what they chose to do. They won't be part of the future of the club so why should they care?

It's his job to do all of these things though and so far he doesn't appear to be up to it.

That's exactly what he is saying if you read between the lines. It would be suicide if he put if more bluntly than he has.

but it wouldn't

he has nothing to lose

and i'll tell you what, there is nobody in the squad being completely 'frozen out'

petrov is nearest to it

shame that, cos we could've kept him if we weren't paying petrov 2 million a year to stand on the touchline looking pissed off

Because things have been so good without him ...

If I'd set up almost half of my teams goals at the start of October and was getting constant abuse off the fans I'd probably start to wonder as well. I still reckon he covers a lot more ground than people think as well, shame he never got a decent spell with Gardner behind him at left back for the extra pace (yes I know you'll love that, but needs must  )

He has everything to lose. If he starts naming names, it might keep the supporters happy but the dressing room won't be. Perhaps he's hoping to shame some of the sulkers back into line because we haven't got a big enough squad to freeze anyone out completely. Personally i think there's a lot more to come out about this than we've heard so far.

The players he's picking can't be arsed once they're on the pitch. Result; we lose.

Obviously we can't make a change that swaps the whole first team. Yes, that would be suicide, but we could definately tell the sulkers that they aren't wanted at the club if they can't play football for the very people who pay their wages.

I'd rather watch 11 players who want to play than 11 who don't.

Nixon knows him better than most. Here's a selection his recent tweets on the subject:

Some won't be laughing next season when they try to get contracts. Anywhere in Prem. Maybe time for big surgery.

Chairman knows what needs to be done. Long term.

If u had your strongest team u wouldn't be bottom. But this spell is exposing the hiders.

Some players need to look at themselves. And when their contracts run out.

U find out about people in a bad time. Eddie Davies and Phil Gartside have shown their character. They know the story.

Definately. What it really exposes is that after the first choice player in any position is out for any reason, we have no suitable understudy. Even Bogdan, who we all thought was the ideal replacement, has shown in his few matches that he isn't even nearly ready to replace Jussi.

I don't think that's what he meant by 'hiders'...
